Anchor Motel

Cute motel , night Mgr was nice. Day owner NOT nice at all !!! Dropped from a 4 to a one real quick.

We stayed with them in early May. Convenient, and across from a restaurant. Coffee in the room. Reasonable rates and offered a discount - even though there's not much to select from. Although dated it was surprisingly clean. Wanting to stay another weekend shortly after, we thought it'd be nice to give them 'repeat' business... the owners seem nice enough. Good luck reaching them. They can't be bothered to answer the phone, reply to emails, or respond to voicemails. They must not want more business. Sadly, we were forced to look elsewhere.

We were to arrive late due to our father's death and Nicole was very accommodating for us. This is a very clean and quiet motel. I loved the vintage look.

Very clean. Low flat rate pricing. Located next to sports bar and across from Mexican restaurant. Not luxury accommodations but more than adequate for a quick stop-over. Gave us extra pillows. Appreciated the free Wi-Fi.

We got into a terrible wreck and the hotel owner was very accomodating and kind! Clean rooms and good price. Thanks for everything!

The man at the front desk was very kind even though we showed up at 11 pm! Room was clean and it was only an hour away from the great sand dunes. Great experience!

I highly recommend Anchor Motel! My friend and I stayed at the Anchor Motel before heading into the mountains to elk hunt this September. I had brought hundreds of dollars in cash to purchase my hunting tag and accidentally left the remainder of the cash in the motel room when we checked out. Not realizing it until a week later when I got back to Texas, I called the motel to see if they had it. I was shocked when Nichole told me the maids had found it and turned it in to her and she had been keeping it safe until I called. She then proceeded to mail me my cash! I was so impressed by the honesty and decency of Nichole and the rest of her staff. So many places would have just pocketed hundreds of dollars in cash if they found it in a check out motel room. We will be staying at Anchor Motel anytime we go through Walsenburg from now on.

May seem like a regular old motel, but the Anchor is great. The room was very cozy and clean and the management was incredibly nice. My friend and I got stuck in Galsenburg for about 2 days when our car broke down on a road trip, and the folks at the Anchor took great care of us. They were attentive and helped us out when we were stranded and the room was much cheaper than staying at a bigger name hotel/motel. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are ever in Galsenburg!
