Super fun! Lots to do and see for both adults and kids. We were there for about an hour but the adults could have easily stayed between 1 and 2 hours if we hadn't got there right before closing. I felt like for the kids an hour was a good time span to spend there. They have a good variety of money-themed items/souvenirs you can buy at reasonable prices. There are certain days where admission is free and also admission is discounted if you get there within an hour of closing. And we found a good Groupon to use as well. The staff was super nice and helpful and it was very easy to walk around. It's self-led. I would gladly go back if I'm in the area again.

Everything (and more) that you want to know about money from around the world. Most of the money focuses on US money but they have coins from all countries. It is a great place to learn the history of the American Dollar. They even have a room dedicated to the Gold Coin Currency, and the Civil War Currency display was Great! We found it far more engaging than expected! It's so well done that there's a tension between reading the explanations and actually looking at the coins. Wow!

Wow is all I can say. Who knew coins were so so interesting. I'm certainly not a coin enthusiast but I am now. Coins are history. They have coins from Greek and Roman times and after. The gold coin collection will take your breath away. The security guard there is a history and coin buff and super knowledgeable and made the visit super well worth it. He would walk around and give us coin histories as well as amazing coin trivia. I WILL be back to this museum when I come back to Co Springs. Don't miss it: it is very inexpensive to go there and admission is very low.

Took our three girls (6 and under) for the free admission 3rd Saturday. We had a blast! The museum staff was super friendly and welcoming! The display was educational. There was a kid class going on. We joined in and learned so much. We left some cool coins! We will be back!!

The American Numismatic Association isn't a medical research firm that's why people refer to it as "The Money Museum". After many years of driving past I had family in town so we went to check this mysterious place out. We all probably have a love-hate relationship with money and no matter how nerdy it sounds to look at money in alarmed glass cases - it was quite fascinating. The Money Museum had two floors of currency dating from 400 B.C. to present, some of it being possibly the only known remaining article. There were placards which had all sorts of interesting facts. My guests and I spent at least an hour here perusing.Definitely a worth see for the nerd in you.

Otherwise referred to as The Money Museum: Total must see if you are in the Colorado Springs area. They are almost on the university campus, and have limited parking, but we were there during the week, and had no problem getting in, although the we had to dodge all of the school kids there on field trip. They have rotating current exhibits, and when we were there it was about the civil war, and the currencies used and how it impacted the different sides. So interesting. And of course there are the standing exhibits of rare and very valuable coins. Sis pointed out to me that one of the exhibits is actually inside a vault, which I am sure they close after the museum closes.

Rare coins, and I do mean rare! I took the tour with a group. I saw one coin, in a case, a tiny coin, worth seven million dollars, only one of five of its kind in the world! That's what I remember most. One of the best collections of coin anywhere: in this museum.

A valuable gem! I am not a coin collector, but I use money (maybe not as much as I'd like). This museum gave good information about something I use nearly every day, that I often take for granted. Not only does it have an informative and enthusiastic staff, and a beautiful and well-displayed collection (including one of the best gold coin collections around), it helps raise and then answer questions about financial value such as: Why does government-backed money have value? Why do some coins go up in price? Why do people want to invest in something as useless as gold? The special exhibits are nearly always worth visiting, too. I have seen the Civil War and the WW I presentations, and they were valuable for a comprehensive view of the topic, as well as understanding the role of financing and currencies, and how the topic affected the currencies.
