AMC Highlands Ranch 24

A friend of mine convinced me to sign up for AMC's movie subscription service, and yesterday was only my first day in the program. We went yesterday to see a "double feature" (MUFASA & Sonic 3), but I had to call ahead to make sure they had descriptive audio devices. They confirmed that they did, and when we got to the theater they said to just bring it back and swap it for a new one between movies. However, what the staff DIDN'T tell me was that their theater was VERY inaccessible for blind people... starting from even the parking lot (their entrance is on the side of the building for some reason, and there was a very narrow and weird path we had to walk to get there, with almost no lighting after dark). The lobby was not strditured very well, and the confessions cue was both confusing and narrow (my understanding was that you had to order different items at different doubters, then pay somewhere completely different, weaving through a maze of very tight walkways--I almost got ran over by other people at least once), so I decided to only get a soda. Then our seats were all the way in the back row, and I had to climb A LOT of stairs just to get up there (if sometime told me about this I could've switch to their accessible row).The audio description device worked just fine for the fist movie, but when it was time to switch them and the second movie started, I noticed within two seconds that they set it up wrong, making it play ENHANCED audio instead of descriptions of what was on the screen. My friend left right as the movie started, came back five minutes later, and the device was completely non-functional. NOTHING was playing through the headphones, despite my friend seeing that it was turned on, so I basalt had to watch the rest of the movie and listen to what was happening... and it detracted from my experience since I had no idea what was happening other than the dialogue or the music.I'm very frustrated that the staff did not seem very supportive, and when we were leaving there wasn't even anyone at the service desk I could speak to about the issues with accessibility that they clearly have at this location. I had booked to come back on Friday to see another movie, but I since cancelled that and am choosing to go elsewhere. Thankfully, I don't live close to this theater at all, so I have plenty of other options available.Very distracting experience... if you're a disabled moviegoer, I'd strongly suggest NOT going here--especially if you're blind, or probably in a wheelchair, due to the layout issues mentioned above. Trust me, you're way better off going to another AMC slightly further away.

Going to the movies is an expensive venture these days, so the overall experience ranks high. This location is relatively clean, staff friendly and seating is very comfortable. We were able to get a deal for our seats, with popcorn and drinks for the whole family, so we enjoyed our visit. Movie theaters have stepped it up as of late, giving you a reclining seat, lots of leg room and a place to even put your drink.

What kind of person can give a negative review to a movie theater?! Yes they are extremely expensive but what is the price tag on magic? Even if the staff was rude, who cares; where else can you walk in and the smells alone can take you back in time to when you were a kid? When you look back to when we were young and we went to see Star Wars or Jurassic Park for the first time in the theater no one remembers the jerk teen that tore your ticket stub.....we remember all the great times we had with our friends and family........the movies we are taking our kids to now so they can have those same magical memories when they get older and life is beating them down from every other angle. This is the one place to just let it all go.

This was a decent place to see a movie. The Thayer was clean and comfortable. They had an awesome everything bagel pretzel that is huge. Big enough to share for sure.They had someone doing some work up in the projector room so there were some lights on that added a glow in the dark scenes.

Large clean theater. We saw Deadpool / Wolverine and it was awesome. The bathrooms were clean.

This is definitely an older AMC theater than the one in Southland. It's a walk from the parking lot to the entrance. In the winter, you would want to park in lot 2 rather than lot one so you can get yourself inside the theater sooner. I recently watched a 3D movie in the 3D Laser theater and there was something wrong with the projection. I hope they get that fixed.

I had a great time here watching Mission Impossible 4. There's a bar and a ton of food choices, though they all seemed pretty expensive. The seating was great, comfortable, and adjustable. The place was pretty clean aside from the cup holder next to me (a little sticky), but not a big deal. Once inside, I really liked it. The entrance and ticket booth area, however, look very dated.

Everything is great at this AMC location! It's conveniently close to the highway, making it easy to get to. The theater is always clean, and the staff does a great job maintaining it. Definitely my go-to spot for catching a movie!

I enjoyed my visit to this movie theater today. They have plenty of movie screens for various show times. The concession area is huge and has your typical movie theater offerings. I skipped popcorn and soda today. For today's movie choice, I saw Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny on their IMAX screen. It was great! I recommend seeing the new IJ movie on the IMAX screen. The seats aren't recliner type for the IMAX screen. However, they're comfy black leather seats that rock backwards.It was clean inside of the theater as well. I enjoyed my theater experience today and will definitely return for future movies. I would actually choose this theater over the AMC in Castle Rock.Looking forward to my next visit!

I usually don't mind coming to this theater but after this past weekend I will never be back. We had another guest threaten physically attack us because we were laughing at the movie and they were upset thinking we were too loud. They literally stood in front of us and told us to shut the F**k up or they were going to fight us. Told management and they did NOTHING. Management basically said they didn't believe us and only offered to provide vouchers for another show even after we told them we were A-listers anyway and a voucher doesn't mean anything. They said they couldn't do anything unless the other person threatened someone else too. Very disappointed by that response to someone threatening violence against others in the theater but I guess this is condoned by the staff there. Will not be back and considering canceling my subscription as an A-Lister and going with another theater chain all together.
