Allusion Speakeasy

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE!!!What a fun experience! Walking into this cozy speakeasy, at the back of The Wobbly Olive, felt like we had been transported right into the movie. I love a well executed theme and Allusion nailed it down to every last detail. The drinks were delicious and I loved the unique glasses and stenciling that accompanied each one! Bartenders were attentive and friendly. They also offer themed bites and you have the option of ordering food from the Wobbly Olive as well, from apps to full entrees! They change theme every few months (their downtown location has its own changing themes different from this one) and you can purchase the decor and glasses when they're ready to switch to the new motif! Highly recommend regular visits - as Beetlejuice himself would say, turn on the juice and see what shakes loose!

Three stars is generous. If this had been our only experience we likely would not return. They were extremely short handed... we were seated and it was over 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged and then asked to change seats to the bar even though our reservation was in the cocktail area so this was a tad off putting. It took an additional 20 minutes to order a drink and longer to get them. The drinks were fantastic and the two that were there were trying hence the 3 stars. We wanted to jump in and help clean the cups and take orders they were struggling . 30 minutes later we finally called it after only having one drink but at that point we talked and decided to try this theme again another night. The decorations were cute as always. This is not the normal experience and it was an off night!

We always love going to Allusion. The decorations and theme never disappoint! We can't wait to see the next theme which I believe is Harry Potter! The service is always top notch and of course the food from wobbily olive slaps every time!

Been here a dozen times 5* everytime! Not this time food was burnt beyond edible, mentioned it to server and he said he would fire the cook laughed.. manager all in black looked pissed off, really didn't feel the love.. no offer to re-make food or compensation, should not have to pay that much to have burned charred food, tough overcooked and covered in black char. Very disappointed. Rice was amazing!

This place was pretty neat. It was one of those places I wanted to try before we moved away, the friends theme was pretty cool but we don't have social media, so difficult to check on themes. I dislike that they really can't take walk ins, I understand the space is limited and it's small but it just would be cool if it was one of those places where you could stop in without a reservation. The service was nice and friendly, but it was pretty obvious they were stressed and maybe understaffed? I'm not sure, but we didn't mind too much besides that we wanted to leave. It is a little cramped back there, would be cool if it was a wee bit more spaced out, this would have been my vibe for sure 10 years ago, highly recommend for younger crowds

I came in 8/9/24 for a date and had a great time! The theme (Super Mario) was so fun and the ambiance was great! Our server, Emily, was amazing and did an exceptional job. She made us feel so welcome and truly helped made the experience so much better. The drinks were amazing too.

Damn right I am Kenough! Wanted to get in the Barbie/Ken theme review. The patrons were waaaaaaaaaay into it and service was great as always. The drinks were just ok, often they get creative with whatever theme is going on but you can order your standard cocktails, as well lol. Celebrated a friends birthday there so we got all dolled up. I recommend everybody check this place out. We went to the one off Powers but there is another downtown, as well. Just look for the Wobbly Olive to find em

Great experience! The Barbie Dream House theme was so fun & I loved the pink The drinks were creative & our server was so kind. We didn't try any of the appetizers but I was intrigued by their fun names.

Very cute tiny speakeasy! Loved the menu for Barbie and every drink we had was complex and tasted great! The "decor" on the walls was fun and I appreciated that they didn't charge a cover just for the venue. The food was good from the Wobbly Olive, and they had a specialty menu of ~6 things just for the Barbie theme. The staff was fun and excited, and was working tirelessly to bring drinks and food immediately so you can enjoy in the 90 minute window. Loved the vibe of this place

Super cute venue for a date! Went for the Barbie Bar and loved all the drinks, and they had some super tasty appetizers as well.The service was also very attentive and wonderful!
