Very well maintained park! Dogs must be leashed. There are bags and cans easily accessible.

Nice public park. Plenty of trails and green spaces. Although I don't visit this park very often, I do come whenever my dog is being groomed, for a leisurely walk. I have never found it to be too busy.

It's a really nice park to go for a walk. My husband and I took our dog here on a walk. The grounds were kept up well, I only wish there was an off-leash dog area

I found this great park in Lakewood this Monday looking for a place to escape from work to eat my lunch, and have been back every day since. It has something for everyone. Plenty of parking, 4 soccer fields, 3 baseball fields with electronic scoreboards and 300 foot outfield fences, public restrooms with running water, a sizable pond with Canada geese, herons (I think) and other waterfowl cavorting about, a water-filled irrigation ditch where I saw a pair of mallards, and tasteful landscaping. There are three pavilions on the east side of the pond that can be reserved for private use. Each pavilion features six good sized metal picnic tables, and two of them have two charcoal grills each. There's a nice little playground for the wee ones next to the pavilions. Belmar Elementary School is adjacent to the southeast - there's another playground on that side that I suspect belongs to the school rather than the park. It's a quiet, peaceful place to spend lunch hour on the weekdays if you work nearby. I see moms pushing strollers, people playing fetch with their dogs, joggers, bicyclists, other folks escaping the work scene to eat their lunch, the grounds crew doing their thing, half the Lakewood PD taking their break in the parking lot. I imagine it gets pretty busy on the weekends during fair weather months, with sports teams filling up the parking lots and fields.Nice spot. Give it a try if you're nearby and in the mood.

FYI this park is under construction until May 2022 so I wouldn't recommend visiting before then. The playground is also geared towards older kids, so I would not recommend it for any children under about 5 years old. Otherwise, it looks like it will be a gorgeous park once the construction is all finished up.

This park is big with plenty of walking pathways. There is a public restroom and doggy poo bags everywhere. Unlike the parks in Denver where you have to park on the street, this one has plenty of parking spots available. On the weekends, you can find many people playing Pokémon Go. It's kinda nice to watch that many people interact based on a childhood game. The only downside to this park is the bird poop. There is bird poop all over the fields and on the sidewalk. It would have been semi okay if the poop was a solid but it looks like the birds have diarrhea and the poop is just smeared all over the ground. In the area on the opposite side of the playground is even more disgusting compared to other areas of the park.

I like going on exercise walks in Addenbrooke Park, but I'm extra-cautious lately. Watch out for coyotes! We had a huge one follow us after dark, and it scared me to death. Its eyes glowed like a dog guarding the gates of hell - I screamed and even my big brave husband was creeped out. Now when we go on our exercise walks, he carries a big stick and I carry bear pepper spray, JIC. If you walk your small dog, consider getting her/him a coyote vest - even if coyotes don't attack, it would make a cool Halloween costume. Google coyote vest and check it out for yourself.

This park has a ton of grassy areas that were pretty but the playground equipment was old and not well suited to kiddos to under the age of 5. Also there's a large pond but all activities are prohibited.

Wish they allowed dogs off leash. Seems like there is plenty of space for it. There are like 10 soccer fields there, turn one into an off leash dog area.
