A1 Refrigerators

I originally contacted Gent (Emmanuel) via Facebook for a refrigerator he had for sale. The one I originally inquired about was no longer available, so he provided me with other options. The unit I selected was a Kenmore Elite. He delivered the unit on 1/2/23, and 24 hours later it still had not got up to temperature. On 1/5/23 he came out first thing in the morning to replace the compressor on the unit. This is where things took a turn for the worse. Yes I was aware I had purchased a used unit at this point, he only provided a 2 week warranty (this should have been my first red flag). He was quick to come out and fix the issue.It wasn't until after he replaced the compressor that I noticed the issues. I cleaned the coils because they were caked in dust, even used I assumed they would have at least been cleaned, they were not. When cleaning the coils, I looked closer at the repair job that was completed and found a few issues. The compressor while it was working, was not a compatible compressor for the unit. The copper lines going into the compressor were kinked in multiple spots, this could restrict flow and cause the already faulty compressors (from the factory due to recall) to fail sooner. The issue that caused me to return the unit was that I found the start relay for the compressor had been just put together with some electrical tape and poorly twisted together. This poorly repaired part could fail, a fire hazard, the safety of my family and I was not going to take that risk.Overall I would not recommend making a purchase as who knows what additional poorly repaired parts are out there. I am out delivery and return pickup, yes he charged me to take back his poorly repaired unit.

Emmanuel, was very pleasant to work with on the purchasing of our LG Refrigerator. However, the unit was not hooked up to water when purchasing so we had no idea if the two ice makers worked. He said he would give us a 30 day warranty. We were good with it so we purchased it, but he did not honor the 30 day warranty. He went on vacation during our 30 days and said he would fix it when he returned. After he returned he said he does not warranty gadgets ... only the cooling. That was not the case when we purchased. So buyer beware!
