Wonderful respite with such care and devotion to their service and quality.After a long day of driving, shopping, walking and gambling - we were starving and ready to get off our feet.We were given a friendly greeting at the door and quickly seated. Our server, Marion, was a breath of fresh air. She had great food and drink recommendations, super friendly and quick to get us everything we could have wanted.Hands down best steak we have had in years, and we travel everywhere. We send our complements to Sacha for the perfect cook and two of the greatest steaks. The lobster bisque made by Beverly beat out the great bisque at the Brown Derby.We brought desserts home and enjoyed the day after. OMG. Huge portions, light, delicate, decadent and the best taste and value.We will go out of our way to come to 980 again and again. We will be back for another fabulous meal. Thanks to the entire team and a special call out to Marion for all she did to make our dining experience memorable.

980 Prime is where you want to be if you want a higher-end steakhouse experience. When you arrive, the vibe is similar to what you would experience in Chicago or New York. My wife and I recently visited for our 22 anniversary while staying at the Chamonix Casino Hotel. We were greeted by several members of the team and were welcomed with a glass of champagne and a warm anniversary wish from the manager. Everyone was great!We ordered the steak tartare to start and inquired about the old-fashioned cart. Soon, both were at our table. The steak tartare was excellent, only lacking a little salt, but it was delicious. We found the fresh bread they brought to the table was better with this than the brioche they served it with. The cocktail cart was a lot of fun, and the guy making the drinks was very personable and entertaining. He also made a wonderful OF, and the sassafras smoke added just a little more.We went on to entrees, where she ordered the surf and turf, and I ordered the 12oz--40-day aged ribeye. We also ordered the gnocchi. Everything arrived within a reasonable amount of time and looked delicious. Her meal was perfect, cooked to perfection and sooo good. Mine, unfortunately, was overcooked and had to be redone. It was not a huge deal, but we could not enjoy our meal together. I didn't want hers to be cold when mine returned. They quickly fixed it, but it put a damper on the evening. They were very apologetic, but it was what it was. After I finished my steak, which was great the second time around, we ordered the F'N chocolate cake. This was huge and super-rich. We asked them to box up about half of it, and we enjoyed it at the rooftop pool with a bottle of wine later that night.All in all, it was a pretty good experience. However, a steakhouse that can't hit its temps when charging a premium is pretty disappointing. The other thing that I found frustrating is that on the hotel website, they offer $100 off at the restaurant when staying with them. It's kind of tacky that this wasn't advertised to us by either the hotel or the restaurant, but I found it days later.

The food was terrible. (And for Valentine's weekend, I'm truly shocked.) My husband and I ordered ravioli and prime rib. The ravioli was dry, oily, and kind of gross. Didn't eat it. The prime rib was cold and chewy. Truly the worst prime rib we've ever tasted. We ordered creamed corn as a side. Inedible. No flavor at all. Honestly cannot believe how bad it was. We tried to be kind about it when the server noticed we weren't eating. The Chef came out, and I asked him if he'd tasted anything because of how bad it all was, and he said he hadn't. We really tried to not complain, but we ate very little and nothing was comped. Server dropped our bill on the table and walked away abruptly. I am honestly shocked at how bad the entire experience was.

Great experience! Old Fashions were some of the best I've ever had. Wine selection was great, steaks and Chilean Sea Bass were prepared perfectly. Service and ambiance was topnotch!

This is THE PLACE in Cripple Creek for high-end, over the top dinning. Raul de Leon, Chef, has put together a team that achieves excellence in the kitchen and brings this directly to the customers table. The sous Chef, Beverly, keeps the kitchen team highly motivated. My wife and I had outstanding table service from Sam....excellent wine guidance from Stewart, Manager/Wind Director and superb service from Chris and Dantzel, Mixologists. Your ask, they deliver. I had twin Lobster tails with Chee and lemon. My had Salmon with cherry sauce. As always first comes a selicton of warmed bread with butter. Stewart provided us with a splended bottle of pertectly chilled Preseco. We always marvel at the quiet ambience of the fantastic designed and curaded dinning room. This provides is with time and space to slowly enjoy our the perfectly delivered meal.
