I was here as an observer, just to see how a class was run. everyone seemed to be having fun, and some really good stuff was being produced. There were some things for sale as well. Very desirable stuff, but I am of an age that I cannot continue to accumulate things so I did not buy anything. There were a lot of throwing wheels so I presume that primary focus is throwing and most of what I saw being worked on was thrown, even though no one was using the wheels at the time of my visit.

I'm so happy to have met the owner, Tina, for a 1x1 technique lesson. I had shoulder surgery this past summer and had developed a weird new habit of wonky rims that I couldn't get past on my own. After a couple hours with her I'm no longer throwing odd pieces and today I threw 10 mugs in a row that were exactly what I was intending to throw. I about cried with relief bc it's been 3 months of confusion and heartache and sometimes you just need a person to help you work through the mental blocks to get you back on track. Tina has an amazing studio that anyone would love to take classes at. What a positive, happy place that we have here in the Springs! Highly recommend 22nd St Clay!!

I have taken intermediate classes at this location and have been pleased. There are ample wheels, tools, glazes and pieces were fired on time. This is a 6 week session as raw clay projects cannot be completed in one sitting. Maybe this was the misunderstanding that upset the previous reviewer. I enjoyed the owners instruction and candor and the class as a whole.

I love doing pottery projects with friends/colleagues and when our folks spoke with D*****, she quickly realized we were in the WRONG place. She had 2 other people try to book an event on separate days and both of them were also blasted with rudeness and a rushed demeanor that ruined our plans. Apparently business is really good for 22nd street and they do not need our (or your) business whatsoever - we didn't even get to the frequency, headcount or pricing before we were told to "bugger off"!! - Pottery is usually done by creative and positive people but absolutely avoid this place. Not sure who urinates in their Rice Crispies every day but they seem to blame customers. Luckily there are 2 places nearby so our group found a place on Jackson Pkwy that we love and we do our monthly projects there. WE RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS PLACE AND GOING WHERE THERE IS COMMON COURTESY.
