Had no idea this place was next to JJ's, as we are always in search of a good sopa from a Mexican restaurant. We found this place by way of Uber Eats originally. It is conveniently located off E Street. Which turns into Bonita in a shopping center with a bank, any other restaurants. The parking lot can get quiet full, but there always seems to be a spot open for us. Have ordered 3 different soups, and a birria taco to see how good there meat is. When you order to-go... you get the cilantro, onions, tortillas and rice on the side for your sopa (if it comes with it) the birria sopa comes with rice, beans and tortillas in addition to onion and cilantro. The birria was one of the best most meats we have had in a while, although I compare it to Mexico Birria. Highly recommend the birria soup. The other soups were flavorful and full of veggies and meat. Each time I was only able to eat about half of the soup, especially with the rice and beans. The rice is good and the beans are okay, eating them together it is more flavorful. We will definitely order from here again!!!

Colimas is located near Franco's Flapjacks, so it can get crowded, but no worries as there are plenty of parking areas here.After a morning of garage sale hopping, we worked up an appetite and of course, I wanted a breakfast burrito.Everything we purchased today was delicious.We had the Pollo soup with fresh flour tortillas, which also came with a small bowl of Spanish rice, Hash Brown Breakfast Burrito, and Carne Asada Fries with an option for nacho cheese or shredded cheese. I've always had shredded, but they give you an option here! The carne fries came with a healthy dollop of sour cream, guacamole, and jalapeños. Everything was made to order and came out within 5-10 minutes. They were not stingy with the green and red salsas, they gave us four of each.Service was friendly too!I would say there were about 10 other patrons dining in or ordering to go when we went, so business was steady this Saturday morning. Portions were a decent size. We all had leftovers and ate the rest for lunch! This is one of my go to spots in Bonita.They have an extensive menu worth checking out.Sorry no pics, murdered the food because we were starving!

I came here craving carne asada chips and fries. I got to use a coupon which was buy one get one free. The carne asada chips were $8.89 but when I bought two large drinks, total costs me $16 and some change. The large drinks were $4.00 and we came thirsty. I managed to get another refill. The only negative here for me was the .50 sur charge for credit cards. I never carry cash hardly ever only when I'm doing laundry. The carne asada meat was good and flavorful. The chips were crunchy and tasted like they were deep fried in oil. The carne asada fries were flavorful as well but the fries were thick and filling. I normally like my fries thin. I would rather have more meat. I definitely liked what I had. There's seating inside and outside. We chose to sit outside since it was hotter inside than outside. Cute place. They had lots to choose from on their menu. I would come back if we were in the area.

First time ordering from this local shop. We are committed to finding a new family favorite after disappointing and costly meals from Lolitas. We ordered carne Asada burritos, machaca burrito, supreme quesadilla and rolled tacos. Everything was delicious and portions much larger and more protein than Lolitas. As other reviewers have mentioned the hot sauce is very tasty but a bit watery. Four up!

I ordered the Surf N Turf burrito. It should be called the Caldo de Camaron and steak burrito. Every time I bit in to it, hot caldo would gush out all over my hands and it actually burned a little bit. It was really messy and unenjoyable. I would have taken pictures of it but I simply couldn't because my hands were drenched in shrimpy juices. I was planning to save the other half for tomorrow (it is freakin huge!) but I just threw it away. I'm sure they have other good options on their menu but I don't think I'll go back tbh. However, the girl at the counter was really nice, she didn't seem unhappy like other girls at other taco shops lol.

Why only 2 stars? If this place can't make good roll tacos I don't know what they are doing in the food industry.I got 3 potato roll tacos and they are NOT good, no flavor in the guacamole, it feels and looks old, it's missing a lot of flavor.Sorry guys, but your roll tacos are not good and they are overpriced.
