Let me first start by saying the ambiance was so aesthetically pleasing. As you walk in, you're welcomed to an open terrace waiting area. They have an indoor seating as well as balcony seating. We got there as soon as they opened so got a front row seat on balcony facing the Beach views. Our server Gabe was amazing and service was excellent! Recommended us some great foods & drinks! Started with an expresso martini & mango margarita. Probably one of the best places I've gotten good & strong drinks. As for food, we started with crab cakes and lobster corn soup. HANDS DOWN THE BEST CRAB CAKES EVER! It was literally perfected. As for the lobster corn soup, it had more of a corn flavor however it was still delicious. Entrees I got the chicken & biscuit. Was not a fan of the biscuit as it had a cheddar base, however the chicken and gravy were delicious! My husband got the crispy chicken sandwich and says it was phenomenal. Chicken was cooked perfectly, not too much batter and juicy. & to finish our sweet tooth craving, we got a half order of French toast & OH MY GOOOOODNES, IT WAS AMAZING! The bread was so soft & lightly battered & the cream was very light, yet flavorful. Overall, definitely a new favorite spot anytime we're back in La Jolla!

Honestly with all the hype this place gets I really expected more. We waited for about 15-20 min for a table which isn't anything. Once we were seated, we ordered the cold brew, the fish tacos, the corn/crab chowder, and the lobster roll. Starting with the service from our waiter: it wasn't that he was outright rude, but he came across as uninterested in us and overall seemed annoyed?Another thing, I'm Mexican, and maybe I should have known better than to order fish tacos at a place called Cody's, but I figured we're by the beach? Those had to be the worst fish tacos I've ever had. Rubios has better tacos. The batter was so greasy and heavy tasting, and it fell right off the fish. Not enough cream either. And sooo expensive! Then the sheer fact they paired it with beans? Never in my life have I had fish tacos with a side of beans. My husband had the lobster roll and he said it fell apart while eating it so he basically had to use a fork to eat it off his plate. Again for the price of everything, not worth it. It was very aesthetically pleasing but other than that, I can definitely see it's not for the locals.

The food here is great. My favorite French toast ever as a matter of fact. Service is great. A bunch of Brazilian staff who are friendly and charming.I mean... can this space get any more gorgeous? Ocean views, cute pink striped curtains and beautiful sea vibes. I dig it.

Stumbled upon this place in La Jolla. Loved the rooftop. You can see the main strip as well as the ocean! The server was also very charismatic . I ordered their famous French toast and it was suburb! I loved the whipped butter. I was very surprised how light the French toast was as well - especially in the SD heat!

Went here on a whim after reading the Yelp reviews and it lived up to expectations. It was mid-day on a Thursday so we were able to walk right in. The views of the ocean were beautiful and the patio is decorated with the brightest colors and cutest succulent walls. The food at every table looked so good it was impossible to decide. My mom got the spring mix salad with a shrimp skewer and said it was some of the best food she's ever had. I ended up with the wagyu burger and while the flavors surrounding the patty were delicious, the meat itself could have used a bit more flavor. Also, my fries arrived and it was clear they were the end of the batch and definitely stale. I did ask the server for fresh fries (which I absolutely hate doing but their fries looked amazing - other than the ones on my plate!) she was prompt and got me a fresh plate immediately. The service was really outstanding, we never waited for anything and everyone was super friendly and efficient. Even though I didn't love my burger, I still give Cody's five stars because of the ambiance, service, views, and probably everything else on their menu! Definitely check it out if you're in La Jolla!

OMGGGGG!! YES! YES YES! This place is a must!! I'm so happy we tried thisPlace. We sat outside and the views were everything. I loved the vibes in this place. Our server was even great. To start I ordered an espresso martini, which was top tier. For my entree I got the lobster roll and when I tell you it was HUGEEEE and packed with lobster meat. Literally the best roll I've ever had. I can't wait to come back and try other options!!

Last weekend, my friend and I decided to take our pups to Cody's La Jolla for a brunch adventure. We were seated right away, and the dog-friendly vibe was fantastic! Since we weren't too hungry, we just ordered a salad and some drinks. The staff was awesome and split the salad for us without even asking. We had a great time and can't wait to come back for a full brunch feast!

Special brunches with mom and family can be had here now because they moved up the hill from the little cottage location that they were at for years. We've had friendly and efficient service with dishes that don't disappoint each time. They have stairs, escalator and elevator to help you get to them. This is helpful since one of us uses a cane. They have a beautiful atmosphere and a nice view, albeit further away than some, of La Jolla Cove.
