I heard so many great things about this place so was excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience. The food was quite pricey and I did not enjoy it. This restaurant is well known for their seafood, hence the name, so I assumed there was some secret sauce or seasoning to the food but unfortunately there isn't. It's just seafood. You get a lot of. That's it. I like seafood but there wasn't anything special about it here. This location is quite big. We had a large group, around 18-20 and we were seated right away on a Sunday afternoon. Definitely has that bar ambiance, as their name specifies. The only reason I give it a 3 stars is for their service. The gal that helped us was extremely sweet, patient and friendly. Excellent customer service! If you're just looking for seafood, nothing special, check it out.It was nice to finally try this place out but probably won't come back.

We didn't know what to expect when we ordered from Cocos Mariscos. We made the trek from Everett because my SO wanted mariscos for his birthday. It was Sunday and when we stood outside before going in, we weren't sure anyone was inside because the windows are covered by that film you can see through from inside, but not outside. We were shocked to see that the restaurant is huge inside. And every table was full of families and couples who were enjoying their meals. From the time we called and a friendly woman took our order to the time we picked up, we received excellent customer service. It's upsetting to see one-star reviews on Yelp that are from people who never even WENT to the restaurant. The racism in Snohomish County is one of the reasons I don't feel comfortable coming to Snohomish as a POC. I don't frequent any of the businesses here, but I would come back to Cocos Mariscos because the vibe here is fantastic. Take the one-star reviews with a grain of salt. Especially if it's obvious that they are targeting this restaurant and not from people who actually paid for a meal there. It seems to be family run. A matronly woman welcomed us in and at least three people behind the counter smiled and helped us in some way. On the way out, even the bartender waved and said goodbye. Now, the food. Everything was good. The breaded coconut shrimp was addictive but I would have loved it even more if it came with a dipping sauce. The garlic shrimp was deliciously seasoned. Yes, it had the shells on. I don't mind that the shells were on, but they were a little hard to peel because the shell was split. The fried tilapia was a gigantic helping; moist, and tasty. BUT. It's expensive. This is not an every day place. It's a place you come for a special meal because you know you're going to spend $$$.The parking lot is busy and it was packed on a Sunday afternoon. It may be best to park a little ways away and walk.

Good food! Great seafood. I appreciate that they left out the cucumbers from the ceviche - it was delicious. My only issue is that it's a bit cavernous so the loud music made conversations difficult.

Best Mexican food in town. I wish I could give 10 stars instead of five. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, and some really fun food too, this is the place. The food portions are gigantic!

Love the vibe, the food (and drinks!), and the people who work here. It's a good Chicano hang out. If you don't like it, well leave lol. Karaoke on weekends! Also, these crazy extravagant plates are hard to find at any other Mexican joint. I hope it sticks around, because I have made it one of my spots.

Went to visit my daughter in Washington, the place we initially wanted to go to was packed so we went next door to this place. I understand this is a Mexican seafood restaurant but from my experiences to many Mexican restaurants, this was the first place that did not offer chips and salsa. I wasn't in the mood for seafood so I ordered a carne asada plate and Michelada. The carne asada was bland, had no flavor at all. Michelada looks good but tastes basic, my daughter had a strawberry margarita which was salty. I was disappointed and do not recommend unless you're there for seafood.
