Oh so good, totally bummed the Coconuts in Chandler closed. Its been awhile since I had this blackened Ono with coleslaw and rice. Delicious and the service was outstanding. Very accommodating and asked all the right questions. I love the surfboard tables and vide reminding my of Hawaii. Now that I know where they are located it will be part of my Scottsdale shopping excursion day

Coconut's is truly the best. FRESH fish tacos, DELICIOUS clam chowder, CRUNCHY coconut shrimp, (and more), make this a beautiful place to eat. The staff is so friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is beach-y and fun. You can't go wrong with Coconut's. Ever!!

Came for a ladies luncheon and it didn't disappoint . You order at the back and they bring it to you table side. I had the poke bowl... massive ! Bite sized cuts of tuna that was not spiced Hawaiian style. If you're looking for that authentic sesame seeded and sesame oil tuna, not here. To be fair they did use a ton of greens tho and the bowl was ample for a filling lunch. Lots of edamame, brown rice, radishes etc. all the accompaniments, but if I were to critique I would love a wee bit more tuna seasoned Hawaii style.

Yelp's definition of two stars is "Could've been better" . Three stars is "OK". Well, I won't be coming back cos I like that fish taco chain that start's with R . Fish tacos on Taco Tues, better than here, and it is a lot less expensive. I can pack a corn tortilla at R***o's just as full as Coconut's if I get taco Especial with all ingredients on the side, packed separately. I can make about 5 tacos. I told the Coconut's cashier that this is my first time here, and only because someone put it on a MeetUp event to eat here. I never heard of it. I told her I read the Yelp reviewers didn't like the cole slaw cos it was boring and tasteless, and my favorite coleslaw was KFC's cole slaw. Cashier said "Oh then you probably wouldn't like ours, because we make it fresh every day", which means the marinate does not have time to soak into the cabbage to flavor it. And coconut milk as the dressing doesn't have much flavor. I ordered their most popular item, the mahi mahi tacos, just cos it was my first time, just to see what the 4.5 star reviews were all about and the 17 ingredients. When I go, I was shocked, that they were so small, given that the reviewers thought they were so loaded, and large. Well you can only load so much on the standard 5" tortilla which I thought Coconut musta served on larger than the 5" diameter standard size corn tortilla, cos the Yelp reviews said the tacos were "so big". The event host was positive the tortillas were larger when she came before, cos she already told me from her previous experiences, tacos were "really big", BEFORE she saw mine. When she saw mine being served, she was appalled "how small" they were, kept saying "she was positive they used to be bigger" when she came before many times. She called it reverse "inflation".Well I thought the tacos were very bland. I figured it out because they put so much cole slaw in the tacos, and the slaw is boring. I shook so much hot sauce into my tacos. I took one home and made it taste much better by adding lime juice and little chunks of avocado I had in my fridge. It made the taco prettier with the green avocado. The fish in the taco was kinda dry and flavorless, too, which I felt overcooking ruins the fish and makes it dry. I noticed other reviewers said the fish was dry, too. Mahi Mahi and Ono, naturally not as full-bodied l compared to ahi tuna, chilean seabass, flounder, and swordfish. I told that to the cashier, but it was all Coconuts had. If I had it to do over, again I shoulda gotten the shrimp tacos, but they are famous for the Hawaiian fish, so fish it was I tried. I tasted the fish chowder someone ordered. It tasted much better than the tacos, I woulda been happier with a bowl of chowder, and something else. The restaurant is hard to find, if you use the google maps on Yelp. It isn't where the map shows it is. It is almost like in another shopping center behind Safeway, that you access from 74th St, and Coconut is right across from the entrance of Harkins Theatres. The service is 4 stars, but I didn't go there for the service, I was there for the food. You order at the counter, get a number plaque, and they bring it to your table, so that is the service. Service, is.... she came to take the plates off the table after the others left. Not coming back. Cos, I can eat 3 fish tacos at R****o's for half Coconuts price for two Coconut tacos which are the same size ($7.46 incl tax) on Taco Tues, and I get a free drink or dessert if I do the survey on the receipt on my phone, while I wait for my order, and then get the free drink with my meal, not on "another visit". I really like R***o's chipotle roasted salsa, which I can drink from a cup, it's so good! Oh well, at least I tried Coconuts.

Wowsers! We tried this place and ABSOLUTELY loved it! I ordered the fish tacos and they knocked my socks off - I'm allergic to egg, so had it sans the cole slaw it it was still super duper tasty. They're more than just tacos, they've got fish platter, chicken and veggie burgers, calamari, poke bowl, chowder, and more.Super casual experience, indoor and outdoor seating. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful, especially knowing it was my first time.Would I go again? You betcha, as a matter of fact I just recommended to a GF that we meet here next time we get together - that's when I realized I hadn't rated this place yet.YUM!!! You're done reading now, just close the app and head to Coconut's!Thanks for reading.

This was the second time we have been to this location. The food was very good both times. I had the poke bowl which is my favorite in the Mrs had a grill mahi-mahi.So why only three stars? Asking questions of the clerk was like pulling teeth proverbly. Offered no additional information and when asked a simple question like what kind of wine is it he had to go over and look and somebody else actually ended up answering our questions. Kind of spoiled the visit especially since we had brought friends with us this time. I realize this is a restaurant that you have to order at the counter so I didn't expect a lot, but this guy barely said two words without being specifically asked and prodded.

What a great fast casual restaurant. For such a casual and quick service restaurant, their food is not just fast, but fresh and nicely presented.Had the grilled shrimp skewer and Taco Mountain. Both were fantastic. Can't emphasize enough how fresh everything was and was prepared.Clean, bright and open dining area with plenty of seating. Prices were reasonable and the waitstaff was friendly.
