I lived in Korea for 3 years and this place is legit! It's so hard finding authentic Korean food outside of Korea, but this place surprised me! The chicken tastes exactly like Korean fried chicken! The chicken is super crispy, flavorful, and hot! The ambiance is giving laidback bar vibes with a good playlist. Our waiter was really attentive and the service was great. I would also recommend all the flavors! The spicy garlic and garlic onion were amazing! You neeeeeed to try this place!

The place is on the pricey side , considering the space has almost zero presence and with K pop blaring. The cashier was hesitant to suggest anything. I suspect she either doesn't like the food or has not eaten it. Our food took time to show up and they weren't busy. Well how was it? The bulgogi fried rice wasn't bad. The egg on top is a nice offset. The spicy garlic wings were too sweet for my taste and yes spicy! I could have given it 4 stars but accounting for price it drops to 3 stars. I want to add the service of the host was excellent. It's just her enthusiasm in recommending anything was wanting

Tried our local CM Chicken in person and the tastes did not disappoint, chicken was fresh and order was prepared exactly how we asked even with the modifications (sauce on the side is the way)We arrived when they weren't busy so we had the full attention of the one server/host so no real issues. However it did seem to break down as the place picked up. So come early and get the quality food and attention you deserve!

Nice little Korean fried chicken joint. Food came out pretty quickly. We got the soy garlic tenders and hot snow onion wings. I was very disappointed in the tenders. The soy garlic marinade was flavorful and the chicken was juicy, but there was no crisp. This textural component made me reluctant to go back for more. While the tenders weren't my favorite, the wings were much better. The snow sauce which was a mayo based sauce was very tasty and coated the chicken well. The onions provided another crunch and mixed with the snow sauce to make a slaw. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I couldn't stop eating these. Unfortunately I couldn't taste a spice with these and wonder what the regular wings taste like. Overall, it was a mixed bag with some good and bad. Next time I return I will definitely be getting the hot snow onion wings again.

Insaneeee chicken. I've never had anything like the snow chicken. The onions and the creamy sauce that comes on top are surprisingly cold, refreshing, and not pungent. It pairs perfectly with a spicy chicken. Everything reheats well too!! Pop that chicken in the air fryer the next day and bam, you justify ordering the whole pound for yourself instead of sharing.

The snow onion chicken tenders are amazing. The fried chicken was very crispy on the outside without being greasy or oily at all, and the meat inside was super juicy. The snow onion sauce is so good, and the onions add a lot of volume and a nice texture. They soak the onions in water or something like that I'm guessing because even though they're raw, there is definitely no off-putting raw onion "bite". The rice is on the harder side. We dined in and the employee was nice and seated us, took our order, and checked up on us. A bit surprising given the vibes (I thought it'd be a order at the counter and get the food yourself type of place), but makes it seem a bit fancier than your average fried chicken place. The wait was a bit long after ordering, but I think it's because the chicken tenders were being made fresh. Prices are higher than your average fried chicken place as well, but the portion size is large enough to split with another person and still be very full. Upbeat kpop music on a tv too. A good place for friends hanging out or a fun lowkey date. Saw a good amount of takeout orders as well, seems pretty popular.

So excited for them to finally open a location in Chicago! We love the selection for fried chicken and it's super tasty and crispy. We got the snow onion and tikku style with garlic soy and original. You can't go wrong with anything you order from here. It's also a small place with limited seating but they offer a good selection of beer and soju. This is a great place for the chicken and beer combo!

Missed being first to review by just a few hours! Ah well, we didn't even know this location existed until this morning anyway. A few months ago my friend hosted a Korean chicken night out in the burbs, and ordered chicken from a bunch of different places. CM Chicken (aka Choong Man Chicken) was the unanimous winner, though to be fair other places had sauced chicken and that just doesn't do well unless you have it fresh. We walked over and it was a little busy, but we were able to get a table with a high chair for our baby. There was K-pop playing on the TVs, though the music playing didn't match them? We placed an order for the nugget and fries combo, along with their signature snow onion wings which we asked for spicy. They told us it would be 20 minutes but it didn't take nearly that long. The nuggies came first, which we cut into small bites for our kiddo. They were shaped like McNuggets, but with tons more seasoning on it to the point they didn't really need any sauce. The fries were run of the mill but it's hard to have fried chicken without some kind of potato.I wasn't really sure what to expect really with the snow chicken, but eventually we got a plate of chicken wings covered in white sauce and a mountain of sliced onions on it. It also came with a little container of green hot sauce on the side - it looks like salsa verde, but with more of a pickled note and much more spicy. So the snow onion chicken - the white sauce is a creamy mayo based sauce, and my wife described the onions with sauce as almost coleslaw-like. They were lightly pickled too, so even though they looked raw they were more sweet and sour than anything. It felt odd eating gobs of onion with wings, but somehow it works. The wings themselves were excellent, and wings are my favorite food in the world. They were super tender and juicy, perfectly cooked and seasoned well just like the fries - sauce isn't really a necessity with them since it's just really good fried chicken. Still, I want to come back soon and try the other varieties they have. How many places do you know would be bold enough to serve "cheese monster" wings?Service was attentive, though there are still a few kinks to work out which is passable since they're a new place. I feel like the Korean invasion is in full force - first with K-pop, now with Korean chicken and corn dog spots popping up around the city, but I can hardly complain. So far though CM reigns supreme as far as wings go.

YUM. Super crispy korean fried chicken. I love every flavor I've tried and would recommend trying the garlic soy chicken if it's your first time. They are known for Snow Onion so get that version if you like onion or would like to try their specialty! Loved the Spicy Jjolmyeon, it's relatively simple to make but great bouncy noodle texture and taste. Nice and fast service. Vibes are what you would expect at a modern Korean bar-like establishment! They also serve alcohol!
