I am so happy I picked Clise Mansion to get married in. Not only is it meaningful to my family and I being from the area but we got a really great deal in my opinion. Altogether with the rental of chairs, an extra hour to get ready beforehand and the use of the whole mansion it came to a little over $5,000. It's just gorgeous inside and out.The price of alcohol is a little spendy. It's a state park so they only serve wine and beer that they provide. Being a Costco employee I could have done it a lot cheaper myself but oh well, there was a package that came with a bartender so that was nice. You can pick the actual set-up yourself and choose what you want in each room, it was really fun. It sits about 120 for a ceremony to be comfortable but for the dinner it was a little cramped. You can use any room you want for each event but I choose to use the room they call the "Great Room" for both the ceremony and dinner because they seemed fitting for both. We had another gigantic room for our formal photos that fit my large family. There is also a huge upstairs with 5 rooms that we used for the bridal party and another room downstairs we used as a dressing room for the men. They were really good about giving our full deposit back. I was a little reluctant at first because the contract seemed so stiff but I guess we were on our best behavior. The staff was great at always answering my annoying questions and near the end I felt like I was calling them every day. I have a few reasons it only gets 4 stars:1) When I had trouble with one of the 12 caterers they provided they did not help me get in contact with her, Susan Magan by the way, and made up a lame excuse.2) The first Open House my Mom and I went to they had food from all the caterers, the second we went back with my Dad and step-mom there was nothing. I really wanted my Dad to see them and was disappointed they didn't mention that there would be nothing there.3) At the second Open House I went to I had a lot of great ideas I was talking about and for some reason the man helping us, Mike, seemed to shoot everything I said down. For example I said we could get cheap white lights after Christmas and he was like "oh no they put those back for the next year they don't go on sale". Well I've seen them on sale and why couldn't he just shut up? A few other things too. It wasn't even his business I was talking to my parents. I have to admit I left a little angry that night. I got married in January and it was great, I am sure a summer wedding would be even better for the beautiful grounds outside.

Perhaps in its day it would've been considered a mansion but not by today's standards. I was expecting something a bit bigger, but it was excellent for the group's needs. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with letting folks do testing for hybrid in-person and video call for the event. For being a public-run facility the facilities seemed to have a nice clean appearance, the linens were clean and tasteful. It's definitely old, and out of certain sides you clearly see playgrounds and other people so it's not the most private thing in the world, but that's alright. I'm sure it was stunning in its heyday.I wouldn't be planning a wedding or larger gathering anytime soon given some space constraints, but for a more modest attendance the size was quite good.

I had the pleasure of attending an event here recently. It was my first time ever inside. What a beautiful old home this is. The house itself is just beautiful. It's been well restored and maintained. For the purposes in which I attended (Sakura-con staff party with Firstborn) this was a great layout and set-up. They were able to have tables in the entryway room with the fireplace and a beautiful tree, a staging/reception room with coat check and the gift exchange, a room entirely devoted to gaming (Rock band, a Wii and an Xbox were all ready for all to enjoy), a "movie" room playing various anime and a large great room dining area for all the enjoy the catered meal and announce the door prizes. For certain events, however, I can see how the layout of the Mansion could be difficult to work with. Depending upon your needs and the size of your event. For weddings, I think it would work best for a small affair (under 75 people) or as a staging and reception area with the ceremony outside on the grounds. There were well over a hundred people and their families in attendance the night I was there and it never really felt crowded or sparse anywhere you went. The catering staff was also just fabulous. They kept the food coming throughout the night, cleared tables quickly and were all in smiley-good spirits.

So I looked at Clise for a summer wedding. The grounds are beautiful, yes, but the front is open to the public and anyone could walk around and see your wedding. The prices are very fair and there is ample parking. They won't have any other events on your day, even if you don't book the whole place. That is nice.things I would warn other brides are two things: 1. the "great room" is actually very small. No room for dancing or moving. There is room for a tent out back, however.2. Because the concert stage is right behind it, they don't book any weddings until that concert schedule comes out in APRIL. So if you want a summer wedding, you have to wait until the last minute and then fight other brides to get your date. If an artist wants to come into town, I'm assuming your wedding would be canceled since the mansion is used for talent dressing rooms/catering/hangout.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RENTAL FOR YOUR WEDDING!!! These people are corrupt. You may think it is Parks and Rec, a government entity -and- everyone would have fair game to the facility. But the inner workings of who gets the venue and when are not above board. If you want a summer wedding, not only will they tell you it is contingent on the concert schedule (which is fine and understandable because the bands get first dibs at the mansion for getting ready) - but then when they don't have a concert booked - they'll tell you there is another subpar reason they don't want you booking there. After spending the past six months waiting for the rollout of the concert series and even telling my guests they'd have to be flexible on either a Saturday or Sunday depending on the rollout -- Parks and Rec later told me there was a corporate event slotted (which was never mentioned as a possible trump card). Then they reneged that story and said possible concert again. And this time it is potentially for Saturday or Sunday. (I looked on the past 3 years of concert schedules and not one ever has fallen on a Sunday). Further, the corporate event I mentioned? The number of people they quoted to attend was 12,000 - not a number that could ever sustain parked cars in that little lot in front of the Clise. What it all comes down to? How much money you will give them and whether you'll use the caterer they are in cahoots with. This is per folks whose names shall go unmentioned: "Clise and Norah and Local 360 are in a 'nudge, nudge, wink, wink' relationship and they all make money off of each other. Similar to properties like Robbinswood, they have an exclusive catering list, but only Local 360 is really running what outside customer gets the venue on a given day. Again, Clise doesn't outwardly claim it is their exclusive caterer but other similar venues in the area have mentioned that Clise and 360 are codependent and anyone would be lying to themselves if they thought otherwise. The motto to the story is that if you don't pick Local 360 for your caterer, you won't have a shot at getting this mansion either for your wedding. Also, what drives the point home about the 'mafioso' codependent approach, is the fact that when I spoke to Norah at Parks and Rec, she told me that the rental price for this venue was $2300 and that was so far from what was quoted by Local 360 as the 'base' price - it is laughable. (Two different quotes from Local 360 resulted in one for f$475 and then another for $700). Apparently, there is a separate rental fee of which 360 was very far off in their quote THE REAL CLINCHER: Norah actually asked me what my catering budget was when I asked her what the rental rate was!! What does it matter? A rental fee is a rental fee!? This is why I'm sure the 'nudge, nudge, wink, wink' affiliation is in play - because one question should have nothing to do with another. Again, if I could give this "0" stars, I would. Where does our taxpayer money come into play? This place is not getting any good Samaritan award by the community. Next steps is to tell the press.

This place was very beautiful. I was very concerned with the way they charged for alcohol. I ended up having to pay $3200 for a very small amount of beer and wine. I explained to the people that $250 for a quarter of keg seemed very unreasonalble. Yes, you read that right, $250 for a quarter of a keg. That's $1,000 for a full keg. Anywho, we ended up running out of liquor 2 hours into the wedding. We had a wedding for 200 people and the whole time the people at the mansion ensured to me that we would not run out. We ended up having to go to QFC and purchase $800 of bottled and canned beer and some additonal wine. They were very against this but we explained there was no other choice. this place is not the venue if you like to provide drinks for you guests. I beliveve they own 2 other venuse as well. Robinswood house and something else. I really don't care at this point. Move on if you would like to provide drinks and have a large wedding.
