Clifton's Jamrock

I went to this restaurant and paid $30 for Red Snapper Escovitch fish. I patiently waited over 30 minutes only to get to my destination 20 miles away to find the fish wrinkled, fried so hard I couldn't really eat it. It looked as if it had been frozen for a very long time. The guy that takes the orders told me that there are NO lakes in Georgia and he apologized. Sorry didn't get my $30 backNo wonder the fish was covered in carrots and onions so I couldn't see it when I checked the plate before I left. Please don't spend your hard earned money at this establishment. You can thank me later. Mind you I drove 20 minutes to have lunch with my husband but this establishment wanted me to drive back, use my gas to bring food they screwed up ‍it was near closing so no I'm good please find better food and service around the city before coming to this place

Oxtails were good and portion size was plenty. I didn't care much for the mac and cheese. It was very dry and seemed like noodles with cheese sauce. The greens were decent though. Atmosphere is turn up some nights and chill throughout the day.

I must say very great customer service but unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the food, as a Jamaican a few things were definitely lacking.

Literally, a hole in the wall... But aren't those usually the best places? Friday night with my cousins at Clifton's Jamrock... Fun, fun, fun! Professional, dominoes players, great music, great beverages! Just a really great way to spend New Year's eve-eve. And the food! The brown stew chicken was heavenly. I will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a chill evening! Perfection!

It was my first time going to Jamrock and I wasn't impressed with the food or service. I called to place an order and was put on hold for about 5minutes maybe longer, which didn't seem to bad at the time but once I got there, the place is just a bar that serve Jamaican food, I didn't really get aC Caribbean vibe. I placed my order, no wait time was given, so I didn't think it was going to be awhile "one hour later "( SpongeBob voice) my food was ready, if I wanted to wait that long for dry jerk chicken, lack of of curry stew for my rice I would of gone to a restaurant where I'm sitting being fed with bread. The only reason why it's not a one was because the veggies were decent. But not sure why the reviews are high the food was disappointing. The chicken had a very smoke flavor ,Not to mention I ordered Jerk chicken, there was no jerk sauce. I just asked for curry over my rice but maybe they assumed I didn't want. Not sure, but I won't be returning.

Excellent food. It is always consistently delicious. The patties are the best I've ever tasted!

This place is not clean. The greens are too salty. The curry shrimp is spicier than the potato chip challenge, and the owner refuses to address customer feedback. I ate there two times. After noticing these issues and speaking to the owner, my last visit was my last.

When I want some curry chicken this is where I order my Caribbean cuisine from . My absolute favorite I've only been inside once it's like a lil kick back space if you like small town vibes place. They had pool tables. It took a lil minute for us to place an order to go but I always order on DoorDash.

Nice Flavor. Tender and not tough. Cabbage - Spicy, flavorful. Plantains - Hot, good crisp on the ends. Peas and Rice - Good, I wish I had more oxtail gravy though. Fast Disliked # Disliked # Disliked # Disliked # Disliked # Disliked # Oxtails - these were good, for the texture and size mostly. There was a good flavor but I wish the gravy was richer, had more place in the dish and was more for the rice. -- But make no mistake I'm just picky about Jamaican/Carribean oxtails. These will be my 2nd go-to from now on.

I gave it 3 stars because we had some conversation at the bar with some folks.....but the food was sooo disappointing! We went around 8pm and there was a DJ on the deck playing some good reggae and just having a great time with it. The place is very run down, but feels like you're in a hole in the wall in Jamaica, so it works for what it is. There is a pool table inside and a bar. We ordered the oxtails with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains for $34! Oxtails were bland and had no taste other than the grease from the fat. The cabbage and the rice and peas were tasteless, and I mean that in the literal sense! I've had much better in my own kitchen!! I'd definitely return for the bar and music, but NOT for the food!
