ZZ's Big Top

Great local bar with excellent bar food. The hot garlic wings, Corn dog and fries are all excellent. Sit outside if the weather is nice. There is only high top & bar height seating inside.

I came here for a happy hour on an early Friday afternoon and it didn't take long for it to get crowded! The indoor space is a little small, but they had a ton of tables on the patio. It has a dive bar vibe to it, but I was impressed with their drink selection. They only have Avon Brewing Company beers on tap, but they have tons of domestic cans as well as cocktails. I and one other person in my group though tried to order 2 different drinks, but they didn't have them even though they were on the menu. I didn't have any food, but the people in my party raved about the wings. Everything was reasonably priced and I would definitely come back to grab a casual drink!

THE BIG ZZlisten man it's good to be back in the old standard Zz Big Top. RIP DUSTY HILL 2021. Everybody knows it's the new guys the fantastic Avon brewing. They renovated the joint and she looks great. New outdoor pad BIG for outdoor fare. Nice beam umbrellas & barrels. A nice property. Oh yah now she's haunted too. Bonus. Speaking of bonus they're on the united miles dining program. Schwing!!!!! Wings are great. Jumbo. Nobody really does em like this baked then fried. Or at least I heard. Bangarang is best. Today I had Nashville hot. Great big wings $8 I think for 5. There's a wing shortage thanks to uncle joe. Busch lite bottles $2 everyday. NICE. It's not as crowded as it used to be and that's probably good. Wings w bleu & celery extra + $4 worth a Busch & tip made it $18 out the door. Major thunderstorm in my way home. Glad I policed up my fenced in area area before I paid up. Good time all the time at old standard, re-invigorated if u will. 4 stars. Can't put five here it just wouldn't be good for their reputation. Ha. THANKS

Absolutely horrendous service. Couldn't tell you about the food because we left after waiting 30+ minutes for our server to come back, even though she found time to bus tables in the meantime. We asked to put in our food with our drink order and she didn't let us, but said she'd be right back only to disappear completely and then start cleaning tables near us while we waited. It wasn't even busy. Then some schmohawk in a softball jersey started to intervene, only making matters worse by acting like he owned the place (maybe he did, I hope not because he was a clown) and telling us we were in 'New Avon', which is apparently some sort of euphemism for the underdeveloped hillbilly part of Avon Lake

Never disappointed going here! The service is always great! The food is simple and delicious! Basket of fries with the house seasoning is a must! So many amazing beers to choose from! Have one and then try the shot of the month!

ZZ's reopened under new management (Avon Brewing Co owners) as of last weekend. While it's a smaller bar, they had plexi-glass dividers for distancing and employees & customers wore masks. Plenty of seating outside on the patio, clean restrooms, friendly staff. The bar itself is brighter after the remodel and they have a small food menu consisting of wings and pork rinds. They have some sauces from Avon Brewing and some from the original ZZ's. Pork rinds were fresh and crunchy. Served with a dry rub and sauce on the side. They carry their own beer, other local breweries beer, domestics, and a full service bar. As always, Avon Brewing Co's Legend of the Guava hit the spot. And it was great to see a familiar face behind the bar - Matt from Avon Brewing!

Small local bar. I don't drink so I don't know about their alcohol. Food was decent. Went for lunch.

I heard zz's big top used to have the best wings around. When they re-opened recently I had to see for myself. They didn't disappoint. To be honest they're the second best wings I've ever had. Great prices & lots of flavors!

Came in with a large group and the staff was so accommodating. They let us rearrange tables. Service was excellent. Thank you Nick and Justin. Most of us ordered chicken wings and pork rinds. Very good with a huge variety of sauces.

I'm only giving 2 stars because... 1. Both of the restrooms are HORRENDOUS. The ladies' room stalls are small and dirty! 2. The horrible parking lot. It is all gravel, with huge holes. You have to be very careful driving in. You could pop a tire or do damage to your under carriage of your car. This place does quite well business wise, so why this owner doesn't, at the very least, bring in a truckload of gravel (if he doesn't want to cement it in), is beyond ridiculous.
