The store is not much to look at. When you go to get in, the store looks like it's been closed for years, but you go in the door to the left. They get fresh produce from the amish. This last visit I tried their smoked dried bacon and it was excellent.

This place is such a hidden gem! Full of reasonably priced European imports since the owner is Serbian, and he also has a fresh produce section that he gets from an Amish farm. The outside doesn't do it justice! A must go. Butternut squash for $0.69 a piece today.

I went there this evening because I had seen it and wanted to stop in. The first thing I smelled when I walked through the door was trash. The produce was not fresh and didn't look clean. It was hot and smelly. I glanced at prices and they were a bit higher than save alot. Not happy there, left immediately!

Their produce selection isn't large but it's reasonably priced, close to me, family-run, and one of the few places to get fresh produce in Old Brooklyn. Plus, there's a small deli counter, a few groceries [including imported goods from Bulgaria, Macedonia, and the Ukraine, and a few Ukrainian dvds, newspapers, and magazines.

I called and someone just said "Hello" like I wasn't calling a grocery store so I asked "Is this Ziggy's Produce?" to verify I had called the right number and was hung up on. Tried calling again thinking I had in fact called the wrong number and the same thing happened. Horrible customer service, won't ever shop there.

I live in Old Brooklyn and have been going to Ziggy's to purchase produce and groceries. The merchandise is very reasonably priced and what is particularly refreshing are the individuals who run the store. Nice people and I am glad to have this market in my neighborhood.
