Wooden Ladle Ramen & Rice Bowl

Everything was great! Atmosphere, hospitality and food !Definitely worth it to visit.

I really was looking forward to this meal, but it didn't live up to expectations. The exterior and interior are both so charming and well-decorated (I loved the swan in the attached photo). It could be a beautiful event space.Unfortunately, the food was mid. The jasmine tea was bagged, and wasn't served loose leaf, which I think it should have. The tofu app was doused in something that was basically prepackaged duck sauce, and it had some peanut crumbles and a cilantro stem on top (yes, a long stem with the leaves attached -- very weird). The tofu curry's vegetables (carrot, potato, onion) tasted/felt frozen, and the curry was blah and felt old/also prepackaged. The rice and tofu were fine, though I wish the tofu was fried.I appreciated the vegan options, but the freshness didn't match the price.

Food was delish! Service was wonderful and the ambiance is lovely. Overall would 100% recommend. We stopped on our way to Niagara and it was the perfect spot. Would definitely go back if we are in the area. Chicken wonton ramen and crab fried rice are both yummy!!

We came to try the Wooden Ladle during their soft opening, and I was really impressed with the place! The restaurant is in a beautiful old house and the dining room is lined with windows. The service was great as well, our waiter was so friendly and checked up on us often. As it was still just their soft opening, they had a smaller menu with some of the food unavailable, but completely understandable for the time we went. The fruit punch was GREAT! we initially didn't get anything special to drink, but after we saw another table getting their drinks and how good they look, we got a fruit punch and ended up getting another because it was so good. I thought the gyoza were great, and the pork belly in our meals was beautiful! We prefer the food a little spicier, so they brought us out some extra spice to mix in which was very nice. My favorite was the Chashu Don, the rice was perfect and so flavorful, and all of the flavors in the bowl came together beautifully!We are so excited to come back when they have their full menu available!

Our server was amazing and very helpful! Been there twice now and the food has always been delicious! (Miso ramen and the blueberry cheesecake are my favorite)

Service was great. Food was meh, for the price. Neat old stone house. Did over hear the server tell a table the opposite of what she told us were their #1 and #2 sellers, which happens to be their most expensive choices.

The food and service were both excellent. The outdoor dining area was nice, as well. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Outstanding in every way tonight. If you like ramen, get it. But some of their best dishes are the brothless ramen (mazemen) and their rice bowls (gyudon). I've been several times now and it seems to get better every time.

I visited Erie from the Outer Banks in North Carolina shortly before New Year 2024, and was looking for lunch with my friends. We found this new spot and decided to try it out, since we discovered that we loved ramen after previous trips to NYC and LA.We had tonkotsu ramen and gyoza and it was delicious! Easily comparable to what we enjoyed in those much bigger cities.The service was friendly and quick, and all the food was fresh. Try it out yourself!

I've gone to Wooden Ladle a handful of times since they opened last year. Every time the food has been extremely delicious, staff is very friendly and attentive.
