This is a fun little place to try. Had an opportunity to taste several reds and whites. Ended up finding a Pino Noir that was very good and left with a case. Nice people, fast service.

Such a cute little place. They had a bourbon sampling a few weeks ago and had some left. Hubs had a shot of the rye over ice. He said it was really good. They have wine flights - some nice wine. The green apple Riesling was surprisingly delicious as was the 606 Sanger Di Giuda They have a small menu. Hubs had the pumpkin roll (ok) and the wine down dog - snappy and very tastySupport local! Come here

This was my first time at their new location in the former Lemonberry after visiting their previous location twice before. Their new location seems a bit smaller, but I thought the layout and the way they decorated was nice. I stopped in during the afternoon and had a wine slushie, which was tasty but it didn't taste like there was any wine in it at all. I also got an iced coffee to go. I thought that the place had a good menu and some fun pairing events, but I was a little turned away by the customer service. There was a young girl and guy working when I visited. The guy was soft spoken but polite. The girl, however, had terrible customer service skills with her general demeanor and unfriendliness. I felt like I was inconveniencing her when I asked her questions and she had no manners. It kind of rubbed me the wrong way and did not make me want to come back.

I've been three times now and I'd say this is an A-Okay place! First visit was for a girl scout cookie and wine pairing. I sat on the couch by the fireplace and had a chill time enjoying my EIGHT wine samples and cookies (found out I am not a fan of girl scout cookies). Next up was a peach themed four course brunch that I hosted with a meetup group. Everyone thought this was tasty and a good deal (nice touch with the added peach cocktail). Most recently a group of us stopped in for the educational wine and Thanksgiving food pairing. Here we got five wines (extra pours if there was still wine in the bottle) plus a plate with five food samples and a little treat. There was a wine rep there to tell us about each wine which was nice. I think each event I went to was only $15 (plus tax or Eventbrite fee). Considering you get plenty of wine and good food these events are definitely something you need to check out! Other places are charging $10-$20 more for their pairings. Now keep in mind these are tasting sizes, so you're not gonna get drunk or stuffed full, but you'll be feeling nice and your belly will be satisfied. Plus it's always lovely to hang out with your friends and chat it up!When I first started coming to WDSC there wasn't a whole lot of activity inside, but the public seems to have finally caught on and they are getting busier. You've got a group of knitter's in the corner drinking coffee, or two large tables full of PTA members, or people coming in for pairings. The space is open and there are a bunch of those wine pun signs for decor, but I'm totally fine with that. To me this is an unassuming comfortable place where you can have an enjoyable experience out while not breaking the bank. One downside is that whenever I call in/ask questions the staff never seems to fully know what's going on. They always have to wait to talk to the owner who is never there. If I'm interested in an event staff should have knowledge about what will be offered. If I have questions about the products they sell staff should be familiar with them. For example if I want to go to the Christmas cooking and wine pairing, what cookies will be there? Homemade? Store bought? All sugar cookies or different kinds?

I asked my mom to bring some cake pops down to Cincinnati, and she stated that she bought them from here. When my husband and I visit Cleveland, we always try to stop here as both the wine and sweets are amazing! These absolutely did not disappoint!!!

I went here for the Cupcake Crawl. This is a very nice shop. The lady stated that they have painting nights and even bands on some night. She was very friendly and helpful. The cupcake I got was Limoncellos. This is an adult cupcake (made with alcohol). The lady stated the alcohol usually makes it a bit more moist. This was almost a dense cake. Unfortunately the icing was too much and a bit on the sugary side. It was a good looking cake. I have a three star since the service was great and I am not sure how the other flavors tasted. This was my first adult cupcake and I do not think it is for me. Since there are other services available, it would not be fair to judge the business based on one small factor.

I had an okay time at the Wine Down & Sweets Cafe. It's in a plaza next to a BBQ place. They also have a ton of parking out front in a parking lot. Pros:Fast serviceTons of wine choices! Plus beer/cocktails for non wine drinkersNot crowdedReasonable pricesCons:Lack of knowledge of employee/service (just my experience, not necessarily yours!)The atmosphere/decorCupcakes are just okayAs soon as you walk in, they have a photo-taking area with a shimmery gray background and some props. The rest of the place has those kind of wine/cupcake pun signs like "wine not" and "live laugh love," etc. It wasn't really my jam and I felt like it was too many signs and there was no real design to the place besides signs that included the word "wine." But besides that, they have large windows that look out over the parking lot/street and a great comfy couch in front of a cute little fireplace and seating areas near the windows and by the fireplace with traditional tables and chairs. It was very clean inside. I came on a Wednesday night and it wasn't busy at all - we were the only ones in there besides the employee. It was a little oddly quiet because there was no music playing. I was pretty excited to see their extensive list of wine. I tried to ask the employee working a little about the wines, like notes present/taste, what she recommended or what was common and she didn't know anything about wine or what they had. We also tried to ask her about the cupcakes and desserts and she couldn't really answer any questions about them - she said they just "show up" when she works. I just picked a bottle of Chardonnay for $14.99 and a boozy rose cupcake for around $3.25. The non boozy cupcakes are around $2.50 per cupcake. The cupcakes were overwhelmingly sugary and it was hard to taste any other flavor besides the sugar, but I think that the idea of boozy cupcakes are fun. Mine was a rosé cupcake, but they also had a mudslide and a honey apple mead cupcake. My partner got a cookies and creme cupcake that was not boozy. I think they host wine tastings and craft events occasionally and I think they also make speciality cakes for weddings and events. They have a decent website to check it out if you're interested.

I've ordered custom cupcakes and picked up many times. This past weekend I attended an event Party on the Patio. It was so fun! There was music, a ton of local vendors set up selling handmade items and a wine tasting. The wine selection was outstanding, the staff were extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed meeting all the vendors and chatting with the Wine Somm and owner. I can't wait to attend another wine tasting.
