Great food, great root beer, especially their root beer floats. Love to go every summer! A Conneaut tradition!

We stumbled on this location while on a road trip taking my oldest back to Vermont. Amazing cute and family friendly. We all enjoyed our burgers and fries. We will make the stop again when possible.

if you love turkey this is place to stop while driving Rt5 Conneaut Ohio, Food is always hit and fresh, bun with slightly buttery top with course salt makes turkey sandwich, onion rings pretty good, root beer refreshing on hot summer day. Service was quick for a busy evening, property is very well maintained.

We came here a few months ago and as a whole I was disappointed. The burger was good but it didn't even come with fries - and the price of the burger wasn't cheap. I bought a sundae separately and it was puny. There are a lot of similar places in the area (we drove there from NW PA) that give more food for less money.I feel that The White Tuekey Drive-In is overrated. I gave an extra star because the seating area is nice. And finally - I got my mom an ice cream cone and the girl who worked the cash register got me the cone - and to my horror she handled the cone with her bare hand. I told my mom not to eat the lower end of the cone as it was no doubt contaminated with dirty money hands. Gross! Don't you train your staff?

With a bit cooler weather for Labor Day Weekend, I hopped on the motorcycle and rode the backroads to Conneaut to give White Turkey Drive In a try. Located on Route 20 near the Pennsylvania border, White Turkey is a true old school food stand. Only open during the summer, it is well worth a try if you are in the area. With the current pandemic, White Turkey requires guests to have masks on and observe social distancing in line. The menu is interesting, since in addition to burgers, hot dogs, fish and sides they also have turkey sandwiches, ice cream and old fashion root beer. I of course went with the fish sandwich and an order of onion rings. Food is cooked fresh to order so it took about 5 minutes for the order to come up. There is a nicely set up area behind the stand with a variety of tables in a garden setting. The fish sandwich is two medium sized pieces of Cod with a crisp batter on a bun, tarter comes on the side in a packet. The fish was good, nicely cooked, the bun was quality and even had some salt on top for extra flavor. The onion rings were OK, the crisp batter slightly overwhelmed the thin slices of onion; I would have preferred that the proportion favored the onions more. Portion sizes were adequate, a decent value for your money, but nothing outstanding.White Turkey is well worth a visit, food is OK, nostalgia is outstanding, so if you are in Conneaut during the summer give them a try.

Ambiance: Retro road-side hamburger stand. Feel good place including sitting area juke boxes with great selection of oldies. Limited counting seating and plenty of umbrella covered seating in the back. Large parking area as well.More than your typical hamburger stand fare with plenty of variations to pick from, including the shredded Turkey sandwich. Onion rings were good. And grEat icream selections.Service was really friendly and helpful. Food served fast. A bit of a drive, but worth going out of the way for this place.

It is what it is, a 1950/60s drive-in represented faithfully. Burgers are great, all the sides are great, floats and milkshakes are great. I'm not a turkey burger fan but those that like them say they are great. You can play 50 and 60s tunes as in older diners. The employees are very pleasant and efficient. Go there and have fun.

Well I'm not sure what all the fuss is about for this Drive-in. The best thing on the menu was the fried cod sandwich. Cheeseburger was horrible, and terribly over priced for what it was. And the signature turkey sandwich? Ho hum, and really quite small for it's $5.99 price. The turkey must be shredded or chopped up in a machine. We were sort of expecting it to be pulled or shredded in large pieces. But Worst of all was the root beer...... for some reason it is not served cold: it was warm root beer! Oddly we got there about 6:30, and they were closing down the kitchen within 40 minutes of us getting there on a Saturday night. Was it the rain that prompted them to close? Overall, quite the disappointing experience for a place that's been in business for seventy years. We are sorry we went and we certainly will not ever come back.NOTE: Prices are really really much higher than listed on the menu here on Yelp. A plain turkey sandwich, about the size of a small McDonald's hamburger, is now $5.99! Yikes! Prices are about 60% higher than what is listed here. Despite the sky high prices, they only take cash. Yes only take cash.
