Beautiful setting showing through a large picture window at the back of the large room is the best thing about this venue. Cold in winter. Lighting is minimal and dark in winter.Bar area is the entrance with a sloping floor which you pass through to get to the event room. Parking is near the event room. No cart available to use to haul stuff from your car. Fireplace opposite the picture window setting with bathrooms (3) set on either side of the fireplace. So if you are hosting an event and use the fireplace area as the front of the room for your head table or podium, you see right into the bathrooms (3) are visibly located on each side of the fireplace. Set up your head table opposite the fireplace so you can see the water view. Our event was set up for 50 people and did not follow our agreed upon floor plan. No staff was there to see if the room was in order or if we needed anything for our event. We had to set up the additional tables for the gifts, head table, desserts, registration, etc. Bring your own catering, table settings, ice etc. They do not cater.

Beautiful, rustic, comfortable and convenient, this facility is hard to beat. The staff is excellent and responsive (Eva is amazing) and the value for the money is the best option going. Highly recommended!

I had my baby shower here and it was an absolute dream come true. It was so beautiful and perfect for my event. Eva was amazing and so helpful at every point of this process:) I would recommend to anyone that they have their events here!

I have had the privileged of having many events at Whetstone over the last 4 years and attending two weddings and a handful of grad-parties.The events I hosted were two bridal parties and three baby showers. Each one at a different time of year each with it's unique beauty as the windows over looking the lake are stunning and a picturesque backdrop for the guests to enjoy during the event.The outdoor space with turf and cafe lights provide a wonderful space to extend your "party area" and provide the perfect setting for an impromptu dance floor.At each party we used the one large brick wall to serve as the backdrop for photos. Creating a this to match the theme is probably my feature to design when hosting. Everyone wants to get photos, and this allows create the perfect photo op.We've always received great service and appreciate the freedom the space offers. Not having to use an on-site caterer give us so many choices and we can bring in whoever we please or we can get catering to go from our favorite local shops.Don't hesitate to look at Whetstone to host your next event, big or small.

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding at Whetstone in October, the facilities were lovely with the fall foliage as the backdrop, the pictures were spectacular. We appreciate all who helped with our event to make it run so smooth. We also had our rehearsal at the event the night before, which was so convenient. I would recommend Whetstone to anyone wanting to have a small wedding, shower or birthday party, it is just the right size for a cozy event.

This venue is beautifully located and was the perfect place to host two open house graduation parties for our recent high school graduates. We also selected this venue to host an open house party to celebrate locally with friends and family following our daughter's destination wedding. The venue was clean, and the outside was well landscaped. It is a spacious venue that seated our guests without overcrowding. It provided ample parking for our guests. We decided on a seating plan prior to our dates of rental, abs when we arrived, the tables were exactly where we requested. The fireplace is a nice touch with a crackling fire, should you desire. It's also a bonus to have access to catering of our choice, as there is no catering requirements with the venue. Overall, I'd have no hesitations booking for future events.
