Walker Meats

We come to the West Side Market from out of state (about a two hour drive) and we ALWAYS have to buy from the Walker Meats stand when we go. They're selection of meats is amazing, and always so fresh. We always get the bacon bomb, and it is perfect every single time. The jalapeño popper stuffed port tenderloin is my new favorite!Not only is the food good, but I've always had such a nice experience with the workers as well, they're nice and polite to talk to, and happy to give recommendations if you're not sure what to get!

Walker Meats is one of our 'must stops' whenever we go to Westside Market! Our favorite version of the Christmas Ale bacon comes from this shop as well. The owner is always extremely friendly and willing to talk to you and offer samples of some of their items for sale, and the staff is very friendly as well. We really love the many types of seasoned and marinated bacon at Walker's. They also have thick cut slab bacon, which is just fantastic! We've tried various types of bacon from the other vendors at the Market, and Walkers is hands down our favorite. There are also different types of smokies available, as well as delicious fresh jerky!! We really enjoy the teriyaki, spicy teriyaki, and the sweet and spicy. Definitely better quality than any store bought jerky! There are many other things available to purchase, including homemade bacon 'jam' (which you can sample!), bulgogi (a Korean beef and noodle dish), mozzarella biscuits wrapped in bacon to take home and bake, and more!

If you are looking for some great bacon with a ton of different kinds to choose from, you have got to try Walker Meats. They also make some great smokies as well. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed.
