Wake Up And Waffle

Such a cute little place in downtown Sandusky that I wish we'd discovered sooner! Hands down the BEST eggs Benedict I have ever had. Let me tell you that garlic and chive waffle is a GAME CHANGER. Was amazing with my perfectly made Bloody Mary. Our server was knowledgeable, kind and gave us just the amount of attention we needed without being overbearing.

The Elvis waffle is a great combination of the sweetness of the liege waffle topped with peanut butter, banana and bacon topping. I highly recommend. The coffee was excellent also, along with the service.

Been here twice. Both times we got excellent service, really good meals and some awfully good AM cocktails.

So good! I don't like waffles and mostly stay away from carbs. Came here for my son who also doesn't like waffles. lol. We sat outside which was lovely. Started with a coffee and a grapefruit mimosa. I ordered the Florentine Benedict with pickled onions instead of tomato. Gave the avocado to my son for his veggie burger. I was prepared to pull the waffle out of the Benedict but it was so good. Perfectly pair e. Mimosa had freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and my son's veggie burger was also handmade. My husband had two eggs with tomato and spinach with a side salad. Mixed greens as a side. The dressing was perfect. Service was helpful, a little forgetful and friendly.

The food was delicious and our waiter, Joseph, provided the best service. Rick had a variety breakfast as he likes a little of everything and I had the Eggs Benedict. The ambiance was very pleasant According to the owner this is " A Brunchery place serving breakfast + lunch in Downtown Sandusky, serving up Liege Waffle Sandwiches, Eggs Benedict and Waffle Sundaes, fresh salads and much, much more.... they have a full bar and fabulous variety of Bloody Mary's and Mimosas.

Great spot for breakfast/lunch kick start day in Sandusky. I ended up getting the Waffle Brunch Sandwich. Amazing. It was breakfast sandwich taking to another level. It all starts with the waffle. Perfect. Golden brown, love the flavor, moist, and could have whole of waffles. In waffle heaven. Located right in the heart of downtown. Little tricky find if not coming from certain direction and new area like only race weekend. Heehee. It so worth it.Service five stars. Server she was awesome! Friendly, attentive, had best conversations, and made first time memorable one!!

The eggs benny ceased my morning hunger, but after trying my grandpa's plain waffle, I wish I would have subbed out the garlic and chive waffle for the regular one. The portion of tossed greens was generous and went well with the poached eggs and hollandaise. My grandpa ordered the banana and pecan waffle and asked for no caramel topping. That was a good choice as the dish was sweet enough. He ordered a sunny side up egg as well.For drinks, I was hoping to get a latte, but the drink menu is strictly coffee, juice, and then a huge assortment of alcoholic drinks. There were multiple types of mimosas, bloody mary's, and even beer. They are dog friendly on the patio and had a doggy bowl by the patio entrance. Our server was nice and we liked where we were seated as we had a view of the bay.

Fantastic breakfast option. Very quick and efficient kitchen; food was tasty, particularly the waffle - worth the upgrade from toast. Friendly and attentive staff as well. Kind of a funky downtown feel as well.

Just returned from breakfast at WU&W and WHAT A TREAT! The ambiance is comfortable, the service was exceptional, and the food was spectacular. We enjoyed the eggs with potatoes and waffle option. The eggs were perfectly cooked, as were the potatoes, but, as promoted, the waffle was really special. We lingered over a quite fine, freshly brewed cup of coffee (and got one to go). Highly recommend.

THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD!!! i never leave reviews, but downloaded yelp specifically for wake up and waffle. although it WAS a little pricey, i can't recommend the food enough. my husband and i spent $50 for the two of us, but i have no regrets. their turkey club (without bacon) was DELICIOUS and their waffles are the best i have ever had, no joke. i ordered the strawberry one! their red-skinned potatoes also have a unique seasoning compared to any place i've been to.great service as well. try Wake Up And Waffle!! especially if you're in the area for cedar point. i don't think you'll be disappointed
