Village Martini & Wine Bar

Chagrin Falls is a beautiful town. I was here for a high school play. Having no clue what to expect, I made a reservation on open table. I ordered an old fashioned and I am happy to say it was properly prepared and well worth the $15. For dinner I ordered to chicken picatta. It was delicious. Appropriate dinner portion, well seasoned, the chicken had a beautiful very thin brown sear and the sauce was divine! Perfect amount of lemon. If you are out this way, give them a try.

Visited the Village Martini and wine bar a couple nights ago and what a great dinner. We had fabulous service and a great meal. All the portions were large and plentiful. Started with a house salad candied nuts , spring mix and a house made vinaigrette. Then the mussels in white wine and garlic. Then the perfectly cooked scallops and risotto with mushrooms. Great ambiance a little loud but still able to have a great visit and conversation. Plenty of parking but I would recommend a reservation. A couple of small touches would move this very quickly to a 5 rating. Like bread with the mussels for dipping that great broth

Food is really good. Try the duck wings. People are nice, a very relaxing place in a nice town.

Went to this place last week and I think I had higher expectations when I read the online menu and reviews. I was really looking forward to trying their fried pork belly dish only to learn they don't serve it anymore. When places update their menu but don't update their online menu...booooo, that's a strike. My friend and I ordered the mussels, the fried duck wings and the bread pudding. We were impressed with the portions! As for the taste, here's my breakdown:-mussels: too grainy and didn't clean them very well. The white wine sauce was...okay. Overall, wasn't savory or flavorful enough-duck wings: I liked the sweet soy reduction and the presentation but it was way too salty-bread pudding: YUM. It could have been a little more moist overall but this was really satisfying; especially paired with vanilla bean ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce.I liked the atmosphere but the room had kind of a musty, unaired smell and it was so dang dark. I wouldn't mind coming back sometime but not exactly chomping at the bit to.

It has been many years since my first review, so I thought I'd give an update. I actually had not gone here since my last and only review seven years ago. But as of now, I have additionally gone for dinner and drinks. The food and drinks taste great! I really enjoyed my seasonal martinis during both recent visits. The cheese board appetizer and fig flatbread was also delicious. So you're probably wondering, why three stars if everything was good? Well... I did find the restaurant atmosphere and attitude of service unwelcoming. Almost like pretentious? As if only locals/regulars are welcome. It was weird.

I came here for a date night with my boyfriend. It was a 5 minute drive from downtown so it was a more quiet scene. The patio is nice to sit outside in the summer. My only downside is that it took an hour to get our appetizer out and thirty more minutes to get our entree. The food was very good and serving sizes are HUGE. Plan on taking some leftovers home!

So if you are tired of my 5 star reviews, sorry. I have to YELP it up when it's the right thing to do!Giving a shout out, when I walked in...there was Adam at the bar. He was so welcoming and personable... love this kind of person!Food, I have to return to try more items but to start, I tried a more healthy option...first up was the vegan stuffed mushrooms. Tender, juicy goodness just waiting for the introduction to my tummy!My BFF and I split a house salad which which a great idea because the White Italian sausage and hot pepper pizza was so good that I pushed myself for the last bite, but failed! I won in that I had some to take home for the next day! Both of these items are only $6 at Happy Hour, actually all pizzas are and cocktails are $3 off.The ambiance is cozy and quaint and there is even a little fireplace with sofa seating off in a private corner. Mark this one for your list!

Waited 1.5 hours for food, nasty response from staff when I asked when food would arrive

The food, service and ambiance were perfect on a summer day. Go there! You won't regret it.

Hidden gem... love the 'fall off the bone' rib and mashed potatoes entree. Drinks are generous as are other entrees. Place is always busy so get there early. Great outdoor dining when available.
