Best salad bar in town. Delicious scrod. Great people working there. Love it. They even have soup on the salad bar. The salad bar comes with the meals too. And the meals are all under $20

This is a gem for sure! I've only eaten breakfast here, but it never disappoints! The spinach frittata is SO good. I always end up taking food home, and to be honest, the folks at home are t mad about that Service is always good, too. One little annoyance to me is that you have to pay at the register at the front door. The queue can be long and if you're in one of the front couple of booths, you end up getting a butt or purse in your face. ‍

Great place for breakfast and lunch! Good food and service and prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back!

For over 10 years Varieties has been my favorite place to get western omelettes and home fries. I usually go to the North Canton location but I was in Massillon for work and to my delight, happened upon their second location which mirrors the other's efficient layout , cleanliness, and friendly staff.

Salad bar is probably the best part of the meal here. Got the Swiss steak special. Mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty good. Swiss steak when I've had it was usually fairly similar to this but lacked seasoning and the slice of swiss...hence the name...on it. Wife's country fried steak was much better. Kids spaghetti was awful. Not really spaghetti noodles, watery, greasy, and meatball was not impressive. Excellent service. Bathrooms are a little weird with 2 doors in them. Were the youngest people in there for sure. I really thought this place was closed a couple years ago. Guess they did a remodel inside. Maybe something different next time.

This restaurant has the best home cooked meals ! Portions are huge, salad bar had everything you would want and atmosphere was relaxing. Service was wonderful! My first time there, as i am in town visiting, but i will be back! Meatloaf and mashed potatoes/gravy were da bomb ! The chicken tender wrap was awesome too ! There is something for everyone. The amount given is enough for 3 meals!

I ordered the Wednesday special, pirogies w/onions. The plate was plied high with onions that were overcooked and the pirogies were the frozen kind out of a box. With this being a special, I figured they would be homemade. WRONG! Very disappointed.However, the salad bar was very good!! Our server was very attentive.

Today was our third visit to Varieties Restaurant in N Canton. The food is great and servers are excellent however, the "manager" or "cashier ", Gina, tall lady with long hair who stands at the register is extremely rude, mean, and unprofessional! On our way out, my husband went into the men's room and when he came out he commented on how he could hear some lady screaming and yelling at someone and said whomever she was yelling at couldn't get a word in bc she kept yelling over top of them. I witnessed the front end of this as I was sitting near the entrance waiting on my hubby. As I was waiting on him, two servers had their time cards in their hand standing back patiently waiting for two ladies (customers) who were checking out together. No other customers were checking out or nearby. Gina, the cashier, escorted the two servers to the back. This is where my husband could hear her yelling through the mens room wall!! He says it sounded awful and this person was relentless. I knew exactly who it was because I saw her escort them through a doorway. When I got home, I called her and complained about her conduct and let her know this is not how management is to be treating their staff. I told her she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Right away she became loud and elevated with me then started telling me about the rules and how they know better than to be there waiting to clock out at the register etc... Regardless, I think she could have handled the situation differently. She's so worried about customers seeing the servers waiting respectfully to hand their time card to her (she apparently clocks them out) but, in my opinion, it's much worse for a customer to hear management screaming and yelling so loud they can be heard through the bathroom wall! She is the one who should be reprimanded! I told her we will not be back!

I order take out from them and it is the same item every time. Buffalo Chicken Wrap. I do it in person , because for some reason the same cashier does not understand. They always throw pickles and orange slices in the to go box, that makes the wrap soggy. I always ask her to tell them don't put those in the box. I just want the wrap and fries in the box. And, yet, there they are. Yesterday, after a few months I tried again. No pickles or orange slices in the box. She kept getting very confused and finally said I will go back and tell them plain wrap, I said no, I want everything on the wrap that comes with it and fries, I don't want a pickle or orange slices in the box. When I got home, the wrap was just plain buffalo chicken, no tomato, no lettuce, plus a pickle in the box. I have no idea how to explain this to her. This is the third time.

I received my food it was cold. It was a waffle. I asked the waitress to please bring me a hot waffle, and she returned with the same waffle that she had put in the microwave. I then asked for another waffle, because that one was like rubber, and she brought me one Cut up into pieces.!
