Good Food, adequate service depending on who you get to tend. Burgers are best. Drinks are tall

Beware, this is a good old boys club. "Regulars" are able to disrespect other patrons and it's acceptable. You will be asked to leave if you cheer too loudly for the Cleveland Browns (or if a "regular" patron-especially the cop-doesn't like you).Bartenders (while generally very good at their jobs) will work shifts even if they are aware they've been exposed to covid. Food is pretty good.

I've only been here once and it was two years ago, but I was browsing Yelp and came upon this so I thought I'd add my two cents. Not a bad place at all. Nice people and it's basically exactly what you think you'd get. If I was in the area more I'd definitely stop in for a beer or two more often.

Disappointment, we have been planning to comeTo the Valley Tavern for years and finally made time and planned our outing to be there for lunch. We arrived at 11:45 and the place opens at noon per Yelp listing. We waited on the porch to stay out of the rain the 15 minutes, no biggie. At about 12:03 the door was opened and we were told the bartender had not arrived yet, we said no biggie we'd come for lunch. We were then informed the kitchen didn't open till 2pm! No where on the outside of the building are the hours posted for the establishment, now way to know we were wasting our time. Nuff said, we won't be back. 2 stars only because we like the ambiance and funny signs.

Anytime I can go somewhere and not get overpriced drinks is a winner for me. It's a cool little local spot with a ton of outdoor seating. The bartender was great as well as the locals. I'll be back for sure.

I have been driving past Valley Tavern for years. I always thought it looked very interesting because of the surrounding canal and valley area. The building itself looks historic. It is an old converted home. A classic roadhouse type bar that you may find way out in the country away from the commotion of the city. My friend and I were on the way to Gourmands today and decided that we may as well stop into the Valley Tavern. There is a sign hanging up behind the bar of hand drawn testicles with a dollar sign above them. I asked about it and she replied "Dollar nuts". They have mostly domestic beer offerings. The food menu is pretty small and focuses on wings, burgers and other fried things. My friend ordered the wings and fried broccoli, cheddar, bacon bites; all of which were awesome. There were very little reasons to go next door to Quaker Steak prior to my visit to the Valley Tavern. I hope to never go to Quaker Steak again. We discussed how lame corporate places are during lunch. Valley Tavern is the antithesis of corporate. This would be the perfect place to stop after watching a movie at the Cinemark at Valley View to fully digest the movie and discuss.

Well, we tried to go in at the tail end of a Browns game. This place wreaked of beer and booze. Wow. Total locals hangout. Stools around the bar and maybe one 2-top table. That is it. Tight squeeze.

The barmaid on Tuesdays is super friendly, never lets your glass get empty, and very easy on the eyes. 10/10 would recommend.
