Ugly Tuna Tavern

Stopped in for a quick lunch, and I ended up with some outstanding seafood!I had a few beers and Ahi Tuna Tacos (medium rare) and a side of Hush Puppies...SO GOOD!I LOVE good seafood and it can be hard to find around this city, but this place is just over the hill from my house.Every beer was served with a friendly smile, and no one in the place ever had to wait.It's small as far as bars go, but don't overlook it...they've created a really nice, comfortable and deceivingly spacious setting!This is one of the jewels of this city!

First off I have to say this place is a god send. After finishing my meal I accidentally left my credit card, and with how people are nowadays I was this close to cancelling my card... however my amazing server called me and I can't thank her enough!!!!Now on to the actual review, this place has your typical bar food. The location is extremely convenient if you're in the presque isle area. The service was good no complaints. I got the ranch dusted wings. I love how they added so much seasoning. Sometimes you get dry rub wings that barely have anything on them... not the case here!! I also had some cheese pizza and it was good not the best i've ever had... but again you're coming here for some cheap bar food so I cant say much. It was filling. Recommend this place for some filling easy food!

This is my go to place for dinner during my annual spring fishing trips. The service staff are also polite, attentive and professional. Food is good-try the fillet tip salad, it is my favorite. On weekends, they usually have a DJ or Karaoke. While it is fun it can be a little loud. Will keep coming back.

This place was disgusting. I had a birthday that we spent at Presque Isle. We enjoyed the day and picked this tavern to celebrate a quick dinner. The food was gross to begin with. Sloppy sandwiches, bitchy waitress and there was a sick feeling in my stomach when I left. The ladies that work there treated people like shit and the last beer I ordered came with a fresh coating of lipstick on the glass. I told the bitchy waitress about it but the (RIP-OFF ALERT) $6.00 price on a Miller Lite draft was never taken off of my bill. ($6.00 for a Miller Lite draft...WTF?). Whoever owns this crap hole, start cleaning the place up by getting rid of your miserable waitresses! What's with the prices? I spent over $100.00 for 4 people! That's not tavern prices! The beer was flowing and the tater tot poutine was divine. The ugly Tuna service was anything but ugly.

Stopped in around 2:30pm after a day at the beach on Presque Isle. We were seated promptly. Servers were attentive & quick. Took our drink orders right away & got seconds before we asked. Beers on tap, can & bottle were all fresh and nice and cold. We split the calamari appetizer which we both enjoyed. Squid was tender & lightly breaded, not chewy. I had a filet tip sandwich & fries and my husband had the Fat Tony Italian panini. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. They have an outdoor patio. Parking lot. Full bar. Worth stopping if you want a sandwich & cold brew. I'd definitely visit again.

Food was pretty good, but I wish people wouldn't bring their dogs inside eating establishments-& we were surprised he was allowed to have inside especially when there is an outside patio -and it was not a service dog, which I could understand then-nice place though

DO NOT ORDER The Ahi tuna from this place or the baked potato. The tuna was so past date it smelled when it came out and was very overcooked to try and hide the fact it was past its time. The only thing good about the whole experience was Amanda our waitress and the crab cakes that were pretty good. However everything else about the whole experience was awful. The only reason they get two stars is because of Amanda otherwise it would be a solid 0.

We came into town and decided to try this place. First off the guy that was there singing was good and very friendly. That was the best thing going for this place. The food was disgusting. We got a fish sandwich that looked terrible and tasted worse than it looked. We also got garlic Parmesan wings... do not recommend these! Tasted old and old grease flavored. We got fries that was the best part of the meal. We will not be back. We also had to go search for the waitress to find our check. With that said they did adjust the bill to pay for the drinks and fries the only part of our meal we actually consumed.

Very polite waitress and the tuna wrap I had was phenomenal!!! My fiancé absolutely loves her honeyduster sauce on their wings ...will be back ;)
