TLDR: Solid hibachi experience with the convenience of being located in hotel Breakers. Come for a break from eating amusement park food. Vibe: 4/5. Located in the main lobby of hotel Breakers, Tomo is the perfect choice for hotel guests looking for a fun dinner outside of the park. The restaurant has around 6-8 hibachi tables that can hold large parties. Our group of 12 guys was able to comfortably sit and enjoy our dinner. The restaurant is one large dining room, with all tables adjacent to each other so it can get a bit noisy, but that's part of the fun! Service: 4/5. The service at Tomo was great from start to finish. From getting seated promptly at our 5pm reservation to the hibachi chef giving us a great show, we were happy with the entire experience. One thing to note is that the restaurant seems to be a little understaffed, as they were turning away walk up diners, even though the restaurant was only 30% occupied. I made our reservations 2 weeks in advance, so I highly recommend doing the same. Food: 5/5. Our entire table thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My group of 12 ordered a mix of chicken, steak, filet, shrimp and scallop dinners with each tasting great. Our steaks were all perfectly cooked to medium rare (as requested) as well as the seafood having a nice sear. The hibachi show was well executed, including all of the crowd favorites (onion train, oil fireball, sake mouth squirt etc). This was the perfect dinner to break up the monotony of eating theme park food all day in Cedar Point without leaving the peninsula! Overall, highly recommend!

We ate at Tomo twice while we were staying at Hotel Breakers. As far as Hibachi goes, it's not my absolute favorite but it's definitely good! I had the the shrimp and scallops both times and the price point is great. Especially for being in a resort. Both proteins, soup, rice, and veggies were enough to share with my son with leftovers to spare. Our bill for our entire family was only around $60. The service was great and we had a lovely time. Definitely a fun place to eat and slightly more healthy options to eat at the hotel! Ambiance is pretty too!

We LOVE Tomo! My daughter and I make an annual trip to Cedar Point every September. Tomo is always our first stop as soon as we finish checking into Hotel Breakers.Tomo is a hibachi place which makes it a super fun atmosphere! If you are a smaller party you will be sat with other groups. But there is always plenty of room. The food is cooked to order right in front of you. I always get the steak and shrimp hibachi. My daughter gets the chicken hibachi. So good!!! Plan on dinner taking about an hour to hour and half. But we have so much fun!

One of my favorite things to go out and get is hibachi as it's always a good time no matter what!Coming here has been a long time in the making as it's just one place at Cedar Point that I've always wanted to go but needless to say it was kinda a let down like the majority of the rest of the food at this park.Like our food was yummy but it definitely ranks to the lower side of the better hibachi places I've been to over the years as your paying resort prices for average food.Of the different options I went with the steak and shrimp combo as it just sounded good and wile it totally was I found it to be ok nothing like another place in the area that I've gone to a handful of times. Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked just the way I like them along with the fried rice and the veggies but the real downside here was they didn't give anyone else at our table shrimps like every other hibachi place I've ever been to has I thought that was strange but it is what it is when your at a resort. They did however shoot sake into our mouth as they counted down which was awesome as always because who doesn't like a free shot! The clear soup was very watery and just not that great all around as it didn't really have much flavor to it.The sake glasses here were definitely on the smaller side too from the ones I've had before but again they are only open half the year and I guess they have to profit somewhere.Overall average hibachi with high prices that even your season pass won't get you a discount on either way I guess you pay to be at Breakers here no much else highly doubtful I'll be here again but who knows!

We came for sushi- there was only one stand alone table and luckily we got it. (We had reservations but didn't specify seating) All other seating was the hibachi cook top style. I would have been stressed trying to eat my sushi at the chaos that cooking style brings. Probably cause it's a tourist location- but the noise and show the chefs put on was much louder and extravagant than what we're used to back home. The patrons get involved (sake squirting in mouths) food getting tossed and caught in mouths. All in good fun but it would be an introverts nightmare. Luckily we got our own table. It's very small and obviously loud with the cooking shows going on. However, we had excellent service and our sushi was excellent! It was decorated so beautifully- I have never had that at any other sushi restaurant. I spoke to sushi chef and told him how happy his art work made me. We had four rolls and a soup. The sushi was the same if not a bit cheaper than back home. If you like hibachi and show- go here. Prices for hibachi dinners were comparable to where we live. (Important to note if you like white sauce with your hibachi: it doesn't exist here) I've experienced this twice now from traveling from out of town for hibachi it must be a southern thing.

Great meal, great service, great dining experience. In a hotel, in an amusement park but this restaurant is an hibachi experience like you would find in the best of cities. Highly recommend especially if you're staying at Hotel Breakers / Cedar Point!

I'm very surprised by the low rating Tomo has! My family and I are on a cross country road trip and this was by far one of our favorite meals. We've also had hibachi plenty of times in our lifetimes and will keep this one at the top of the list.We made a reservation so we were seated immediately. We could see the employees working hard and efficiently to clean tables and get as many families in as possible. Our chef cooked our food perfectly and it was beyond delicious. Between us, we had shrimp, steak, chicken and scallops. Not only were the portions amazing (my dad says it's the best portion of scallops he's ever seen at a hibachi restaurant) and the food tasty, but we enjoyed the show. We got to see the classic fire tricks and onion train, but the chef also got some audience partipation using sake (for adults) and lemonade (for kids) squirt bottles. Such a great experience. We would HIGHLY recommend if you're near the area!

If you want to teach your children how to binge drink with a chorus of jackhammers as background music then this is your place. Atmosphere is more akin to an frat party than a dining experience. My wife, who is sensitive to loud noise, had to leave before finishing dinner in tears due to the constant metal on metal banging on tables and group "drink drink drink!" chants as the chef shoots streams of sake down diners throats and then does this with water for the children. You have to be kidding me. Expensive, food was ok but you can't really enjoy it due to the racket. Absolutely horrific and the worst dining experience I have ever had. Beware!

The reservations was at 7pm made 2 months ago. Did not get seated until 7:35. The service is probably the worst i ever had. Waitress never came to refill waters or sodas or to clean up the table. We had to ask the random bus boy to do it all. The waiter easily adds a 18% gratuity. She was trash. Now the food! The sushi- very fishy, which means fish is not fresh.Hibachi- filet is probably the lowest grade of meat, even cooked at medium it was very tough to eat. Chicken was alright Soup was bland. No saladNo noodlesI would not recommend this place to anyone especially if your kids are eating it.
