The Tavern of Mayfield

What a disappointment. When this spot first opened, it was a gem. New management but same owner and the food has really gone downhill. The service was excellent, our bartender was amazing. But definitely won't go back. Sad

Nice place for a quick drink and dinner. Small dining area but they make the most of the space. Waiting staff are friendly and hustling but the kitchen can be slow when they get busy so have a few cocktails to pass the time. Lettuce wraps are a great appetizers. Good burgers and the chili cheese fries are a must.

This weeks "meat" special is pepper steak which is AWESOME the flavors are phenomenal. Includes a salad for like $16. The flavor profile is awesome. I'd give this dish a 5 but the steak is a little overdone. But not bad. I'm happy. Check this joint out. Especially when Maggie is bartending. She's awesome.

I was in the mood to try something new and different. Started with the Blue Cheese Fondue Fries. Wow were those good. The boy got the Nashville Hot Chicken, and it looked good. The boy decided to scooby doo that sandwich, so it is safe to say it was delicious. Wife got the Buffalo Chicken wrap and she said that was also good. I tried the Tavern Burger. Flat top cooked burger, had a nice crust, grilled onion and mushrooms. Burger Bun didn't fall apart when I bit into it. And not too expensive. Service was fantastic. 3 people a little over $50... not to shabby. The boy already said, we should add this place to the rotation of places we like to eat at.

Sorry for so many good things about this place. I thought I'd give it a try. I walked in. No one said hello it said sit. Your self after waiting 20 minutes I left I might try one more time

Formerly "DeCillos" which was dark and dreary neighborhood bar. The new owners painted the inside so it is lighter and brighter they added much needed decor. During a winter snow storm, we pulled into this restaurant to get a reprieve from the cold. We sat at the bar (and we froze every time the front door opened. The bartender (female, long light brown hair) was excellent. She was very attentive and offered suggestions from the menu. I had a black and blue burger, which I thought was good. The only suggestion would be to smash the burger a little bit. The meat was very thick and perfectly round which is fine but I just like things a little less perfect so a Smashburger would've been a great idea. We will definitely go back because of the Bartender, the service, and the convenient location. The upgrades are much appreciated. SUGGESTION FOR THE OWNER: PLEASE put a heater/blower between the front 2 doors.

Nice casual grab a beer and a meal pub... good service, yummy food and fun crowd.I will definitely be back to enjoy again.

The food is fantastic. They just started a new Sunday Brunch and the portions are great and all the ingredients are not skimpy as well as you can tell fresh items and personally prepped. However, I am on here to talk on the soups. They are always amazing and homemade. Also not always your traditional types. One of my favorites is the stroganoff soup. I often take them to go for lunch the next day and still as good as if I had it it in the bar. People are great, get to know the customers and the staff. It's cheerful and run with a great heart for all.

Food was good and service as well. We visited shortly after they opened. Had a burger which was good but I've learned that I'm not enamored of burgers with a "brisket" mix (too dry). Not their fault. Liked the updated space. Will be back.

Love it here. Simple, back to basics bar and food. the people who work there are terrific, the vibe is good, and food is delicious. We've never had a bad meal. The dining area is small, it's not fancy, but it's neat as a pin. The place has a lot of regulars who don't ice you out. This is a win.
