Great burgers and awesome service! Fired pickles were KILLER and fresh and homemade. Bartender was super nice and very attentive

My husband and I used to love this restaurant, but our most recent experiences were very disappointing. I am not sure what has changed to make the food less tasty and appealing, but I suspect they are cutting back on the quality of their ingredients. The burgers used to be much more tasty and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Not so anymore. I'm pretty sure the burgers we got tonight were frozen burgers - not locally sourced as advertised! So sad to see the decline in quality of what used to be our local favorite.

Stopped in for an afternoon drink and snack. Loved the blood orange rail-a-Rita and Buffalo chicken dip. Nice casual atmosphere and service was efficient. Everything came out quickly.

My son got very good grades this year, so I took him to the mall for some shopping and lunch. I told he he could go to any restaurant in the area of the mall, but he didn't know which restaurants were around, so I narrowed it down to pizza, burgers, Asian, etc. He chose hamburgers so we visited The Rail. Upon arrival, we were the first customers of the day. The staff was ready and waiting, so we were seated immediately and given menus. Our drink requests were taken and we ordered a couple burgers also. My son requested a build-your-own-burger with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I requested a shroom burger. Within five minutes, our burgers were delivered by our friendly waitress named Amanda. The burger was delicious. The mushrooms and cheese were very tasty, but the burger was a little undercooked. I requested medium, but it was closer to medium rare. My son loved his hamburger. The steak fries were hot and yummy. This is about as good as a burger can get. The food and service were excellent.We'll be back.

Before & after pic of my Lil Wedge Salad shows how it arrived, deconstructed & how it should've been presented, that I dressed up. The presentation isn't the issue as much as the size of the Wedge vs the others completely dressed, the LONG wait & lack of understanding. Nice bartender, slow day w/ three tables & me cuz of the weather, sleet outside. The patrons on the left of me were served a nice, fully dressed Iceberg Wedge. The Rail is a popular Hamburger joint, but I ordered off of a hungry delicious looking plate to me! I ordered the Wedge AS IS, just add a sirloin & Balsamic Glaze. Well, that was too confusing & took well over 20m to get what I got. A tiny deconstructed Wedge, no tomatoes. The Sirloin was salty & needed more Glaze to counter the flavor.The people next to me took only one bite of their food, bagged it & left, tho it looked good which I thought was strange.

The food is prepared to perfection, and the service professional, Maria, is refreshing. You can't beat a medium rare hamburger (cooked to order) with onion rings and / or a wedge salad. The chef knows his craft. It's not on the lower end of the price spectrum, but neither is a great steak. Splurge and treat yourself to one of the best burgers in Summit County. If you appreciate good food and service, check out The Rail. It's a winner. Note: Sorry for the photos of half eaten food. It was difficult to contain my excitement.

Lunch!This was a nice time, always like going to The Rail for many different occasions, but really enjoy it for a quick lunch break. The place is clean, although the front entrance smelled like toilet bowl cleaner ‍, not very appetizing. The service is good, Josh, the server vas very friendly and inquisitive. The co-worker who I had lunch with had some questions that Josh wasn't aware-of and Josh took the time to get him the answer for it. The food was good, although their malt vinegar bottles did not have the plastic stopper, and we weren't paying attention, causing vinegar to dump on his fries ‍. Josh was so nice to offer replacement fries and explained that it was a recent change they made, to allow customers to be able to pour it. I just think people's familiarity with Heinz Malt Vinegar, you'd anticipate the plastic piece there. Maybe it's just us. The benches were a little too bouncy and feels a bit rough. Something that could be better. We'll be back, not only is it convenient, they also have good-quality food.

Avoid this place. It's not good. Well I am sitting here at The Rail and wondering if this review will go up or down. So far I've had to remind my server to bring my beer (drinks should get served first), I've waited over 30 minutes for a burger. And when the burger came it was not done the way it is stated on the menu. It's a Local Yokel burger with bacon, Swiss and an easy over egg. The egg came well done not easy over. So I took it back. I'm looking at both seats in my banquette and the backs are ripped. So while the place looks generally clean, I wonder how much care is being given as well. So far I'm not very happy that I chose this place.Ok. So an update - I got the burger. Looked like it was just haphazardly made. Egg was fine this time but cheese was half off the burger. Burger was OK but not stellar. I can get a burger like this nearly anywhere. The meat is not really seasoned. Frankly the Royal Burger at Red Robin is much better. Also my fries were hot the first time the burger came out but they have sent me back the same fries with the correct burger as they were cold by the time I ate them. I complained to the manager and got a discount off my burger. That's nice but there's still nothing that makes me want to come back here. I don't care if the owners have one of the top rated steakhouses in the country. This place doesn't live up to that.OK. This place had a three star review. Dropping to one star. This place is dishonest. If you get any side other than regular fries or salad they charge you an extra amount. However, all sides - regular fries, sweet potato fries and salads are all $5 on the menu. But order something other than normal fries or salad and you pay more. This is dishonest and a rip off. The menu does not indicate that there is a charge for anything other than normal fries or a normal salad. If they want to charge more that is fine but the menu should say so. It doesn't and that's misleading to customers. This dropped the review to one star. Again - don't go to this place. There are better burgers out there.

If I could give it a zero I would. We came in and sat at bar and took almost 10 minutes for someone to greet/bring waters. Should have been our sign to leave. Ordered 2 burgers and after 30 minutes still hadn't received food. People who sat and ordered at least 15 minutes after us got their food (also 2 burgers) before we did. When we brought it up to server they didn't seem to care and couldn't tell us how much longer so we walked out. There almost an hour and left with no dinner.

I don't appreciate seeing the cooks on their cell phones while cooking! I'm sure it's not allowed and it's definitely unsanitary!
