Tacos were a main stay at this place for decades. Not anymore. Place can be fun with the right group of people, just don't eat.

After attending lodge in avon lake, they told me we would be going here for the refreshments. Really good pizza! Atmosphere was local and i liked the vibe. I will be back as the brother who received light has two more degrees to receive. /G\

Great local bar with music,staff, and beer choices. Tucked away close to the lake you cant go wrong stopping in to have a cold one

The Quarry is awesome! It's a local dive that has amazing food and bartenders! I love this place! Saturday's and Sunday's, they have breakfast starting at 8am. The corned beef hash is amazing! Not salty, homemade, with green peppers and onions! Love it!! K.C. Makes the best corned beef hash ever!!

I'm so disappointed to update my review on the Quarry because we've enjoyed it for several years, but it only takes one bad incident to keep you from coming back, right?We were in on Saturday 5/7 to see our favorite CLE cover band. We travel about 30 minutes to the Quarry, but the band is worth it... as we see a lot of other fans travel out to the Quarry too. In this tiny little bar, the band easily draws a crowd of 15.Okay, I'll get to the point. Somewhere later in the evening, some guy walks up to the band and it looks like he's asking them something. Lead singer responds and same guy starts yelling at them. My friend said 'Oh yeah, that's the owner'. He's yelling at them about the sound and being a total jerk about 'This is my bar and if you don't do what I say you can leave and I won't pay you S#@%'. It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional. I couldn't believe he'd have that conversation in the middle of their set on stage. Then we remembered another time he popped in really late, seemed hammered and just went up to the mic and started yelling 'I own this bar!' like he was on some crazy ego trip.The bartenders are so awesome, it just seems like it's run by a crazy person who can't handle business professionally. Not sure if I'll be going back.....

Love the quarry! Cheap drinks! Bands every weekend! The bartenders are Fabulous!!! and the fried bologna is to die for!!!

Very disappointed with the clientele. The first time I went there my seat at the bar was taken by several of the bar staff and I was treated like an outsider. The second time I went there my seat was taken by 3 'friends' of the owner. Even though a full beer and my cell phone where sitting in front of them when they sat down. Then I was treated like a jerk for getting mad that they took my seat. Very disappointing place since it seems that the owner takes good care of the establishment, but apparently for only for those he deems worthy. David B.

I'll give just 3 stars because the day we went there was no cook so we had one drink and went elsewhere. The bartender was super nice and apologetic.

I moved to Avon Lake 3 years ago and the Quarry has often been a spot to grab drinks with family and friends when they visit from out of town. The other night I went there with my 2 brother in laws from PA that were in town for the Guardians game. When we walked in, the bar was pretty empty even though there was a band playing. The bar tender kicked us out because they had PA licenses. When I asked why, she said "too many of them are fake". What a horrible way to handle a situation with a customer of 3 years and someone who has continually brought business there. The Lear Road Inn welcomed us in a heartbeat, I suggest spending your money there. What an embarrassing and ridiculous way to treat someone

I went Bar Hopping in Avon lake and this was my first stop, I walk in and it's a relatively old crowd, with most of the patrons being between the ages of 40-60. The reason I gave it 3 stars was a sewage smell, I kept it to myself, but then a woman actually commented on it to the bartender, so it wasn't in my head I had simple drinks, a lemon white claw and an angry orchard and they were fine.It was a satisfactory experience, but I won't pay for bar priced drinks for a satisfactory atmosphere, when I can just invite someone to drink at my place.
