Walked in and the ladies gave us a quick over view of the store. Fun is getting to taste everything. Flavored vinegars are on the left. There are lots of balsamic. The 18-year-old vinegar was very good. Jalapeño was too vinegary. There are lots of fruit infused vinegars. The elderberry was delicious tasting like the fruit. On the right side of the store are the olive oils. They come in all herb flavors. We tried the wild oregano, and the Italian blend is most popular. This shop is fun. There are related dishes and cooking tools. Prices are reasonable. Gift baskets are available. Shipping is available all over the country. Check it out. There is parking garage off Cottage St. behind the shop.

What a lovely shop that we wandered into. There are more than 50 different olive oils and vinegars to taste. They provided little tasting cups and bite sized pieces of bread! We spent a solid half hour or so. They are true to their flavors, so if it says "raspberry" you WILL get a wonderful hit of raspberry. I've been lied to too often with "flavor" profile descriptions on food and drinks. They have numerous pottery all around the store for those looking to up their cheese board game. Though a little bit pricey, you are paying for the quality. 100% worth it.

I remember when The Olive Scene first opened in Chagrin. I was intrigued, but skeptical. How could a store exist that is focused on olive oils? Well, they do, and they are spectacular. Their customer service is top notch, and the friendly staff really knows their stuff. They can describe the nuance of various oils, and help you select just the right one. They also have other wonderful products to go along with the olive oils.

I am so pleased to have this gem near by. A specialty olive oil and vinegar store is a little slice of heaven for any foodie. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. All of their oils and vinegars are lined up around the store in sample jugs and you are encouraged to sample as many as you'd like. Each oil has a display card next to it saying its origin, flavor characteristics, and the date it was pressed so you know exactly what you are buying. They also encourage you to mix and match and try different oil and vinegar combinations to create your perfect marinade or dressing. Not only do they have a great product, but shopping is fun too!

Its physically not possible for me to love a place more. The Olive Scene is a super special local place run by an amazing group of women. In my opinion, this is the one spot where experienced foodies and novice cooks can mingle together equally in a shared, inspired environment. As someone who doesn't particularly *enjoy* cooking, The Olive Scene has made a big difference in the way I cook. They're an olive oil and balsamic tasting emporium with dozens of flavors to try. I love the experiential element of the store - they offer sample cups/bread and descriptor cooking suggestions to get your brain working. In any regular grocery store, I'd never try a Grapefruit or Passionfruit balsamic, but when I'm here, I'm down for anything. The women here are so passionate and wonderful. I constantly learn things from them about making cooking easier and healthier with the use of gourmet olive oil. For example, today, Eliza taught me how she puts Passionfruit in her water for flavor. Who knew! Today, my Mom and I purchased small Grapefruit, Sicilian Lemon and Dark Chocolate balsamic/olive oil. We used the cooking suggestion of Dark Chocolate with red meat on our steak tonight and it was unexpectedly awesome. The Olive Scene sends out a delightful monthly newsletter with easy cooking recipes that I've tried on several occasions. The store also carries pastas, sauces, dips and other appetizers and they have pre-arranged gifts and gift baskets that are to die for. I also love their dinnerware, cooking accessories and thoughtful items for your kitchen. Whether you're seeking a hostess gift or just assembling a beautiful dinner, The Olive Scene should be a part of your experience.

My husband and I stopped by The Oliver Scene yesterday and had a blast. We were probably in there for a least half an hour and left with a great Sicilian EVOO and two fruit infused balsamic vinegars. We got their Black Cherry aged balsamic that we're planning to drizzle over a prosciutto arugula fontina cheese pizza later this week and a Tuscan Lemon white balsamic that I know will be a new staple in our kitchen. The store is laid out in an easy to navigate fashion and the two women working there were wonderful in helping us get our bearings. After that, they were there to answer questions and offer suggestions, but didn't hover. After sampling our way through the store that carries not just vinegars and EVOO, but also dinnerware/serving trays, specialty salts, rice, pasta, etc. we checked out. I was expecting just a standard check out process, but they wrap up your oils/vinegars like a present and include recipe cards that offer serving suggestions for your new purchases- what a nice touch! We made sure not to get large bottles of our new purchases so we'll have a reason to go back and try some new oils and vinegars!

OOooh, how exciting, I get to leave the first review! I'm a big fan of the Olive Scene and I frequent both locations (Depending on where I'm shopping). What a unique specialty store that offers a truly gourmet, quality product. I've introduced several people to the store and we love to create different recipes, marinades, dressings and sauces from the oils and vinegars. One that has become a staple at our house is Eureka Lemon Olive Oil with Cranberry Pear Vinegar. Seriously, I could drink the vinegar. We add a few fresh herbs, some kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper (from my gorgeous pepper mill also bought at the Olive Scene) and we have a bright, fruity, delicious and healthy salad dressing! It's so much fun to come in and sample the vinegars, oils and salts. They have great food gifts, too, if you need an idea for the gourmand in your life. Santa Claus brought me a beautiful sterling saucier (drizzle spoon) that I am just creating excuses to use. The service is always top-notch and they are always very helpful and polite. I really like that there are several sized options for the vinegars and oils. The price is definitely more than what you would pay in the grocery store, but let me assure you that the quality of product is far greater. You get what you pay for here and if serving quality food is your goal, look no further. (Mini bottles often start around $6.50 for 60 ml. A great way to test without waste and bring home a variety!)

Love this place, they have the best balsamic and Olive Oils I have ever had. My sister in law introduced me to this place, and gives me her order once a month. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. High quality and great tasting.

Rude employees. Wouldn't come here again. Also, my friend walked in to see if they were hiring a few years ago and the woman working at the time was so incredibly demeaning and disrespectful. No, not everybody has a deep intense background in olive oil, so no need to be nasty to somebody simply looking for a job. Let's spend our heard earned money elsewhere with kind individuals :)
