We stayed at the Mohicans cabin with 8 people total. They had plenty of bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped to cook a lot of meals. The beds were comfy and the water was drinkable (some cabins you can't drink the water). I liked how the basement had Roku too. It was nice to walk around the venue to the pond. I do wish the cabin had a rec room that wasn't in a bedroom. And then I wish the floors weren't so creaky, the people sleeping downstairs could hear everything upstairs. I did love the wood burning fireplace. Overall, it was a nice weekend away!

We booked The Mohicans cabin for a recent girl's weekend and a good time was had by all! I took advantage of the cold weather rental special to get the large cabin for a group of friends. Getting to the resort would certainly be difficult in inclement weather (this is mentioned on their website, several times), so we planned to arrive before dark and on a relatively mild weekend. The cabin was cozy and well equipped, and very relaxing. As with many cabin experiences, there is ample sleeping space, but the living space is split between in doors and outdoors, so a bit tight if it's cold or rainy. The bedrooms were roomy, everybody was comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of dishes. We brought in trashbags and extra paper towels, and any kitchen 'extras' but the basics were all there, including plenty of coffee and sweeteners. The cabin did have wifi, but not all of the treehouses do, so chose wisely if that is important. We also enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the cute little treehouses.

I have had this on my bucket list for yeaaaaaaars now. It was a bit of a disappointment. -we booked a tree house with a suspension bridge to arrive and find out that it was closed. NO WHERE ON THE WEBSITE did it state that. I combed through everything again to quadruple check.. and it was no where (this was confirmed to us by management too). But you pay a lot to arrive and see it all screwed and boarded shut. No big deal, we were able to move into our second choice, an airstream in the woods. AGAIN all the pictures are misleading. It fails to show that there are like 4 floor heaters to keep you warm (much appreciated) and a HUGE built in wall unit that takes up a big chunk of the space. Again, not a huge deal, but the space is affected by the built in one and it is permanent and not on the website at all. No record player and just a few things not as cozy as the pictures make you think. The bedding was less than ideal. I expected the mattress to suck because it was a camper (we owned a camper for years) and it mostly did. But it blew my mind why they didn't add a topper to it and make the bedding nice. There were stains on my pillow and the sheets had marks on it. Sort of gross. The bathroom was amazing though. The steam shower made it all worth it. Epically amazing. The deck was cozy and adorable. You can see quite a few tree houses from your deck. The fire pit was right down the steps.

On my second time around staying at the resort my husband and I chose The Silver Bullet. This stay was even better than my first in the White Oak! The Silver Bullet is so unique just on it's own but there is also an added steam room element to the shower. The treehouse also comes equipped with a record player and records to really get you into that groovy 70's mood. We enjoyed listening to Simon & Garfunkel as we lounged on the extremely roomy porch bed. My husband then built me a fire with the complimentary firewood that was provided for us and it just enhanced our woodsy experience so much!We thought we couldn't be having anymore fun than we already were but then we discovered a swing underneath the treehouse and had a blast!Thank you Mohicans Treehouse Resort for providing such a fun and unique experience with all of your treehouses! I can't wait to try the next one!

It comes at a price, but the sylvan scenery can't be beat.Stayed at the Old Pine late last year with Matthew McConaughey. Well, a picture of Matthew McConaughey. Apparently he had stayed at our treehouse some time ago. I can just imagine him driving up the steep gravel trail in his mud-spattered Lincoln Aviator; pulling out his bongo drum to wrap out a cogent beat while a piece of ice rolls over in his nearby tumbler of Wild Turkey; then later in the buff, relaxing and washing off a hard day's hike out on the patio shower beneath the canopy of the mighty deciduous forest, just washing and rinsing and scrubbing and...--Sorry. I, uh, I guess I got a little derailed there for a minute. I'm...I'm a straight man, I mean, I have a wife. She was there. She was with me, I mean, we're not swingers. I mean that's fine if you are, it's just we're not and it was just me, or, it was just her and I and our luggage. Honestly, I uh. The luggage, yes. Uh, they say that this treehouse sleeps four, and there are two beds, but once you bring yourself a weekend's worth of clothing and supplies and you don't have any closets or dressers, it feels a lot more like it sleeps two adults and their stuff. The water in the shower never got much above luke, so I was grateful that their was a warm little heating unit just outside the shower. This treehouse includes an indoor shower, but not all of them do, so be mindful of that. There are also no curtains on the windows and though you will feel comfortably distanced, the other treehouses aren't that far away. The galley kitchen sufficed for tea and small meals. It also had a mini-fridge, which was great but it doesn't hold much. The loft is cute, but a bit impractical. You have to carefully climb a ladder (don't bonk you're head), and if you are an adult, you can't stand fully upright in the loft space.Otherwise, this was a pretty great weekend getaway. The area is pretty secluded. Mohican State Park is a short drive away as well as Landoll's Castle. There are not a lot of restaurant's nearby, but there are a couple wineries. Old Pine is a short walk along a sometimes lit path from the parking space. The treehouse is beautiful and includes many great details including a little wooden footbridge to your doorstep. All in all, I would say it's alright, alright, alright.

3.5/5 stars We stayed at the El Castillo treehouse to get away over the Thanksgiving weekend as we were not traveling far due to COVID. The treehouse is cozy, rustic, and well-appointed with everything you need for a weekend. The ceiling in the loft/sleeping area is gorgeous and more spacious than expected! It was also just far enough away from the other treehouses that it felt private--probably more so when the trees are full--and the setting was peaceful. The Mohicans are now also dog friendly, so I was able to bring my BFF along and she loved walking in the woods with us.Although there was a note saying the cleaning precautions were stepped up due to the pandemic, our coffee mugs were not clean and we found a used band-aid on the living room table. These made us question just how well everything was cleaned. For $400/night and given the current public health crisis, we'd hoped for better. Overall, our trip was lovely and we'd like to return to try another treehouse--with some extra cleaning supplies in tow.

We spent a beautifully secluded weekend at the Old Pine Treehouse. Wonderful and secluded, this is the place to "get away from it all." No, really. Wi-fi, smart TV, and hustle and bustle aren't here. The treehouses and a wedding venue are what you will find on property. It is a short, gravel drive to parks luscious with hiking and a charming castle. You take this vacation to exist quietly with board games, old dvds, and commune with nature.Be aware that these are cozy (ie-tiny) treehouses. I imagine in the summertime they make a wonderful open air escape. The Old Pine claims to sleep 4, and while it is true that there are two beds, there is an economy of space-no dressers, no closets, a single sink in the kitchen. I imagine a couple with 1-2 small kiddos would love this. 4 adults? They better REALLY REALLY each other. Especially since the bathroom is large if you are an elf working in a treehouse and the beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the living room have no curtains. So, everyone is bound to see everyone's well...everything at least once. The treehouses are a terrific weekend away from the muchness. It was the perfect post Thanksgiving getaway in this pandemic time.

How about a night among the tree tops and stars? You can do that at The Mohicans. They have several unique tree house "homes", set back in the Mid Ohio wilderness. Don't worry, each is outfitted with plumbing and electric. You can opt for an indoor or outdoor shower, (weather permitting), or just do both! Treehouses are all fully furnished, bedding and towels provided. You will need to bring any food and toiletries you will need. No WiFi or cable, TV's are here if you bring your own DVD's. Pre recorded or downloaded music, you won't get any cell coverage out here. We stayed in the Moonlight, the "most romantic" treehouse. Two bedrooms, the kitchen had everything you need, just no oven. (Counter top burner unit). They provide a grill so we grilled steaks, sautéed up some scallops and opened a bottle of wine. We ate on our private patio up in the trees. The treehouses are not spacious but that just adds to their intimacy and charm. Surprisingly, we had no issues with mosquitoes up in the trees. Bonus! I think we were the only ones staying as it was a weeknight following a holiday, so we walked around and peeked at the other units. Each is accessed from a stairway to a suspension bridge. There is parking at each unit but the road is rustic and not paved. If rain had been heavy or with snow, you would need 4 wheel drive. They are working on a new unit made from an old silver Airstream lifted into the trees. Put that on my bucket list! So cool. Fire pits and grills are at each site and with the densely wooded area, you have a lot of privacy. They also have landlubber cabins which are rustically Gorgeous with full kitchens and several baths. All units, including the treehouses are heated and air conditioned. There are several larger buildings nearby as this is a popular wedding venue. Great romantic getaway or treat for the kids.

We just had our wedding there on July 18, 2023 and stayed the night with our elopement package. It was so beautiful and perfect. They people they have make the bouquet do wonderful work. The people they have make our little wedding cake did an amazing job. It was delicious. Hands down the best cake I've ever had. And the photographer they use was so nice and did a wonderful job as well. Thank you so much for our wonderful wedding stay and memories. We will be going back to the same Treehouse El Castillo and trying out others in the future.

My fiancé took me for my 50th birthday. It was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was much better than I could have imagined. We stayed in the Tin Shed. It was fully furnished with everything you would need. Comfy beds. Super cool furniture. The bridge was a fun touch. I would love to go back and stay in another tree house in the summer. Check in was super easy. Staff was extremely helpful and responsive. It was cold but we still took time to have an outdoor fire and swing on the swing. We had an amazing time. We couldn't have had asked for me. Can't wait to come back.
