I'm a diner girl, and the Little Pie shop is a diner after my own heart! Bonus points for being open on Monday... Anyway, I had an egg and cheese muffin sandwich with home fries and a coffee for just under $8! The potatoes were really good - soft and cut thick, sandwich was solid, and I ordered a giant French toast muffin and the apple caramel pie to go. The muffin was the surprise standout! It was really moist and tasted really good with cinnamon swirled in it! I enjoyed the pie, but I'd have to try some of their other varieties, I wasn't really picking up on the caramel. Counter and table service, and the staff knew people by name. So cute and a really solid, affordable breakfast. Also, super fast.

The food is delicious and cheep. It may look like it is very busy from the parking lot but when you get inside there is plenty of seating. Staff is friendly and service is quick.

Casual breakfast spot with great pie I also loved the gravy on the chicken fried steak. Friendly staff and this will be my go to breakfast spot if I'm ever in Ashtabula. Quaint Americana perfection

Were in the area to view the aurora. Stopped in here for breakfast based on reviews. Had one of the best breakfasts in a long time. Everything was perfectly prepared and very tasty. Coffee was good. Service was a little on the slow side, but the place was SUPER busy. They were very friendly & we didn't wait too long. Food was definitely worth the wait.Even though we were there for breakfast, we ended up getting dessert, because...PIE! The pies were amazing...how they get the crust that flaky is a wondrous mystery. We were going to order more pie to go, then decided against it so we didn't make ourselves feel terrible for the rest of the day.I would go back just for the pies, but the breakfast food was top notch, so there are even more reasons to return!

I was in the area for a few days, after reading the reviews, I had high expectations and decided to stop in here for breakfast on Thursday June 29, 2023 around 10:45. Service was ok, waited for at least 5 minutes before the waitress came over for drink orders. Ordered a waffle and a side of ham. The waffle had decent flavor but the texture was terrible, mushy and very flat. The side of ham left a lot to be desired. Guess I should have ordered pie for breakfast. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe it was an off day, but I don't think I'll be rushing back next time I'm in town.

WOW!! I did not expect to get blown away by this place. I honestly have no idea how everything was made with such quality and value. The affordability alone had my jaw on the floor while the food was easily the best diner food I've ever had. Even the pancakes were somehow the best I've had. The strawberry rhubarb pie was phenomenal! All my friends and I left that place with a huge smile on our faces. Not to mention the owner was incredibly kind. So happy this kind of place exists at all! Loved the country fried steak.

sat at counter. Small and loud and cozy. Ordered clam chowder and a BLT combo: the chowder was thick and delicious, and might be the best clam chowder I've ever had, a judgment I don't make lightly: every spoonful of that thick soup was full of a complex taste. The BLT was merely very good. Coffee was okay. I had a slice of Dutch apple pie: it was remarkably good: somehow the crumbly top tasted like strudel. The entire meal cost $15.12 -- I was tempted to buy one of many pies I saw, and wished I could take the entire restaurant home with me. I left $20, and floated out to my car. Oh, and the service was so friendly I thought I'd been there before. If I had to choose my last meal I might just choose a soup and sandwich combo with a slice of pie from The Little Pie Shop & Café.

This is my little local breakfast stop!!! Very reasonable, delicious (get the red potatoes instead of hash browns!) Love it!!!!! I haven't had their pie yet sadly- but I cannot wait to post. My basic bitch breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast and red skin potatoes is $5.99! Love that it's a cheap, easy stop right close to where I live!

Came here for brunch, they close at 3pm. Ordered Western Omelette and corned beef hash. Generous serving and very reasonable, also had a small chat with the owner who was seating right next to us, very friendly as well as the staff. Small town feel. Of course we won't leave without trying their famous pies so many to choose from but we settled for the apple pie and strawberry rhubarb. They were amazing! Happy tummy!

The idea of mixing breakfast and pies is a great one. Pittsburgh and one about 5-8 years ago in the Oakland/Bloomfield neighborhood (was it called Breakfast with Pie?). The breakfast was fine, but the pies were nothing to write home about. And when you have "pies" in the restaurants name, THAT is a fatal mistake. This place not only delivers the goods with their pie slices (or take a whole pie with you), but their breakfasts are also a standout. As many times as I've had corned beef hash and eggs, there was something in the taste of this one that truly set it apart. Red skin potatoes and four slices of rye toast made it all substantial enough to bypass lunch. The only downside was that neither of our first choices for pie were available for carry out. But when over a dozen pies are on the board, and you're partial to 80% of them, it's not a big deal.Great service to match everything else.Tip: they also mail whole pies
