The Lake House Kitchen + Bar

We had a great time with two other couples at this restaurant. The six of us sat on their patio overlooking the lake on a perfect late summer night. Service was very good with periodic checkins despite a packed house. The server knew the menu, tap list and specials off the top of their head. Always nice. The table shared appetizers: corn fritters and hush puppies. Both were tasty and piping hot. I had a burger for dinner, cooked as ordered to medium-rare. My gf had the maple chicken and loved it. Some folks had dessert that looked good (flourless chocolate cake and raspberry cheesecake). Tap list was good and full bar for cocktails. Great atmosphere, good service and delicious food. We'll be back.

What a cute restaurant right in the lake! It has a beautiful view of you're in the lake side of the restaurant. The food is good, nothing to write home about, but the servers are nice. The side on the lake has a nice atmosphere. The other side also looked nice but a little more casual like a gastropub. The place is not big, but it also has outdoor seating. When the weather is nice. We'll have to return for when the weather is nicer so we can sit outside and enjoy the view even more!

Snagged a same day res, when we arrived we did wait 15 mins for our table, which had been open the whole time. I would have preferred to be seated with an explanation if the staff was loaded up and running behindIt was mid 70's beautiful night but their patio had not opened for the season yet. We sat inside. The air condition was either broken or off and it was uncomfortably warm. The ambiance is clean, cozy. But the layout is backwards. The bar is centered so there are a few tables at the great big windows with a view of the lake. The booths at the back are dark and lacking access to the view I noticed the patio is set the same way. The bar is closest to the lake and dining behind that. Maybe to try to have folks sitting at bar facing the lake, but it limits access and view for majority Service was friendly, and concise. Not overly warm or bubbly but effective The menu is super. We enjoyed a great bar list and had trouble choosing from cocktail list. Yum!!Dinner menu offered fish, steak, pasta, and on target pricing . And classics to unique on the apps. We enjoyed the walleye bites!Fish and chips, salmon, cod, perch were all the front runners. We enjoyed a decent and not obscenely large serving (enough to take home)We are looking forward to a return trip on the patio

Great ambiance and there's a view of the Lake-even from the bar. Great casual service and the food is great- everything we've had is that rare kind of food that tastes even better than it sounds. Don't miss the drink menu-or the Blood and Sand!New owners have made a big impression, glad to see the place jumping again.

Went last night, amazing view, service, food and drinks! Our bartenders and waitresses were amazing. Twin filets and grouper bites- delicious.We will be back soon!

We came here around 6pm on a Saturday, reservation in hand for the patio. I don't think we needed the reservation, but who knew. I've been wanting to try this place ever since I heard about it a year ago. It's a neat looking building with a decent view of the water from the patio. It was almost 90 outside and not a lot of air circulating. The patio is not very large, so the reservation might be the ticket if you want to be out there. The place was moderately busy, not too bad. Our server was friendly and efficient, which is all I ask. That and keep the refills coming without me asking. The food was really good, but my main complaint is I just felt it was slightly overpriced for what we ate. Two piece of fish and some fries, a dollop of cole slaw and a few hush puppies,,, $22? Idk, I guess that's what most of these places are charging these days. I'd eat here again, but I don't generally frequent this area. Check it out if you're nearby.

Super great location with kind staff and good drinks. Enjoyed the outdoor space with friends and some average food. You can tell they are aiming a bit higher and sometimes delivered and others missing a bit. Loaded chips were very good, little bit of a gap on the perch which is a miss being by a lake. Still a good place for socializing and will be back.

Service was excellent. Chef not so much. Some people like skin on their salmon. Just not me.

First time here since the new owner and name. Inside is the same with a nautical theme to match being on the lake. Staff was very friendly and helpful - they were having fun at work. One of my wife's buttons is hand clearing and they met her expectations. Walleye bytes are a great appetizer, my wife enjoyed the fish and chips. Crispy perch was tender and flavorful with an apple chutney. We will be back.
