The Great American Pizza

My fiancé and I saw their post on Facebook about the Pagash pizza and decided to give this place a try. We got the small Pagash, a Medium Chicago Deep Dish with Meatball and Garlic and Breaded Mushrooms.When I walked in I was greeted very warmly and the lady who grabbed my order for me was extremely sweet!!When we got home we dug into the mushrooms and we both agreed they're some of the best we've ever had!! Not overly greasy and very very flavorful, the ranch really tops it off.The Pagash pizza was AH-MAZING!! We wish we'd gotten a larger one of those. I really enjoyed dipping it in the sour cream it came with my by fiancé doesn't like sour cream. Either way it was a great pizza and we will come back solely for that pizza.As for the deep dish, we were not impressed at all. As someone who was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, this is not Chicago deep dish. I really wanted to trust the reviews that raved about this being the best deep dish outside of Chicago, but it's not. It reminded me of Lou Malnati's and I'm a Giordano's gal through and through. I've had flavorless Lou Malnati's before and while this one wasn't that bad, it was a serious let down for me. It lacked the right amount of cheese to call it deep dish. The cheese it did have was not melty at all and in fact more congealed than anything else which really ruined the experience for us. I couldn't take the garlic we added. I wasn't impressed with the meatball, sauce or crust. Just an absolute let down and now I've got pizza left over that my fiancé won't touch and I'm struggling to convince myself to finish it because I paid for it, but it just doesn't do it for me. I'll stick to getting Giordano's when I visit my family or ordering it frozen and shipped because the deep dish we had tonight is something we will not be getting again.I'm open to trying their other items, but I'd stay away from the deep dish.

Service was not nearly what it was hyped up to be. Owners seems shady. I normally leave very long detailed reviews, but this will be shorter. Food was fine, it's hard to mess up pizza, but I can't stand when customer service is bad. If you are nice/customer service is good I ca. respect and ignore other bad things.

I had a Detroit style pizza that hit the mark. The bottom was crisp like it's supposed to be and they didn't skimp on toppings. The crust was maybe a little too smoky. When I visit family in Brunswick, this is a place on my list to get a pizza from.

We just had a basic pepperoni pizza, which was fabulous. The menu, however, is huge. We'll be trying out a few more items.

Complete lack of professionalism. The owner needs a serious recourse in manners and business etiquette. The way she speaks to get employees especially the minors is atrocious. I won't support a business who treats their employees badly.

Over priced, over cooked and they will not refund you even if there management and or staff made the order wrong. The meat is harder than most bacon. Terrible, also this company does not issue refunds and only issues up to $10 in credit.

Disappointed with our experience. We bought a pizza last night and it was overcooked and terrible. We did not call last night because we were exhausted and upset. I called today and was treated very poorly. I was told I just did not like the price. We would have had no issue with the price if the pizza had been cooked properly. It was very hard and frankly tasted awful. Maybe I should have called last night, however I followed up the next day, and they easily verified we ordered through phone number and debit payment. Poor quality pizza and very poor customer service.

February 9th 2024 National Pizza Day. Ordered 3 sm pizzas with extra toppings came to $46.30 was offering free medium cheese pizza code203 with $50 order so ordered $8 mozzarella sticks which had no cheese inside to make the total $56.30 to get the free pizza but did not receive the free pizza! Normally love Great american but this is not the first time this has happened also paid 20% tip total bill $70.. NEVER AGAIN!

Pizza is off the hook. chicago is edge to edge toppings and 6 adults could only eat 1 peice each. the stomboli is equally amazing

The owner(s) are true Americans .There isn't a reason why this place is not on speed dial in your iPhone. Seriously. The chicken and deep dish pizzas are completely unique.... don't miss out!
