What a fantastic place. The staff was very helpful when I asked about the wines they offered. I was intrigued by the jalapeño and Habanero wines. I found out you can make your own wine there (classes are offered). I definitely want to go back and try my hand at making wine.

I was in a hurry for some liquid ML bacteria. Rather than order on line, I decided to drive to The Grape and Granary and personally pick it up. Having never been there before it was well worth the 50 minute drive! They have EVERYTHING you need! The people are very helpful and even gave me a tour of their operation. Their prices are fair and selection very good! Its like a kid in a candy shop...at least for me! I would recommend this place to anyone! A word of caution though...if you visit personally...you may buy more than you came for!!!! Happy shopping!

I recently experienced a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Grape and Granary. It was excellent! I highly recommend going there to try all the other wines they have. Excellent staff! Friendly and helpful!

Best spot for your brewing needs! There are several brew stores in NEO but this one is the most complete. I came here a week ago when I started my first brew (clueless) without judgement or hesitation they took my recipe did all the shopping for me mulled my grains and threw in a few free tips! Very welcoming, great options, worth the trip for any homebrewer! I'm actually heading up today for my next batch!

I always thought of the Grape and Granary as "the place where my parents buy wine-making supplies". I had no idea that the G & G also distills their own liquor and conducts wine tastings! I stopped in the store to buy a bottle of wine as a gift and I was treated to a full-blown wine tasting! The staff is very knowledgable and passionate about wine and beer. One of the best things about the G & G is that it is a family-owned business - that sense of family spills over into everything they do - customers are treated as family. The tasting room is combined with the "wine store" (replete with cafe tables and a small service counter). They have a large supply warehouse for home brewers/wine makers. They even teach classes on wine making/beer brewing!Friends of our's love the jalapeno infused sweet white wine... this wine is a mixture of sweet and hot and cold and tangy! This wine is a perfect apertif for a summer barbecue. The G & G features wines that run the gamut from sweet to dry.A tasting room close to home... this place is a dream come true!

I've been a loyal Grape and Granary patron for about four years now. Ever since my co-worker taught me the fine art of beer brewing, I've been making the trek into G & G to buy my equipment and my ingredients. I've had nothing but a great experience in shopping and dealing with the employees. The store itself is a little confined, so if there's something you don't see on the shelves, they probably have it in their stockroom. Overall, they do have the most complete selection of beer and wine supplies you'll find in NEO.G & G offers classes on beer brewing if you need some howto help. On the wine side, they offer wine tasting and you can make your own wine onsite using their equipment as well.Having this wonderful nationally known store right here in Akron has been a blessing as I've delved into the art of beer brewing and wine making.

We went to breakfast across the street at Fred's Diner and noticed this place while we were waiting to get into the restaurant. It is a very unassuming building and we did not have any expectations when we arrived. Mary, the owner, came right over and started talking to us. She ended up sitting down and explaining all of the different wines and the stories behind them. Each one we tried was amazing. Even the ones we did not love were still really good. We bought a case along with two of their Cajun seasonings, a hot and a mild. All in all it was a great experience and we plan to come back another time to make wine! Thanks to Mary and all of your staff for making us feel at home in your store!

Let's see...at last count I am approaching 100 batches made at G&G. You can't get better juice/kit/oak resources and support from the family based staff. From tasting to bottling, the process is accurate and FUN. I have made Amarone, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernets, Borolo, and more...each with stepped up Oak types and time required to make a great difference. Bring you own clean bottles and design a great label. The hardest thing is waiting for the wine to age! The outcome is worth it everytime.
