First time here and was highly impressed! Kinda divey, but it's a quintessential Lakewood place. No beer on tap, but plenty of cans to choose from. Daily food specials and on Sunday, it's buck-a-bone rib day! The ribs were absolutely amazing for the price! The girl behind the bar was fast to greet me and sling a drink my way. Definitely a cool place to chill

The Flying Rib (May 8, 2023)It was the last day of a short trip visiting Clevleland, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (A must for those seeking nostalgia!) and it was around 2 p.m. The day was warm, and after a short 10 minute walk from the public transportation stop, entering a air-conditioned bar was a great relief. The bar was split into two sections, one side had pool tables and other entertainment tools, while the other had a few booths and the bar. It has been a VERY long while since I ate at a bar as I don't drink much, and usually do more take-outs than dine-ins. What attracted me to this place were good reviews and also extra miles from an airline program. I also like to do something different while visiting a foreign city just to add extra diversity and experience. The menu was not extensive (fewer than 20 items total), consisting of burgers/chicken and other sandwiches, plus rib and steak dinners. Decided on the simple Patty Melt as I like rye bread. The sandwich had an impressive half pound of beef, and was cooked well done. The texture of the meat, however, remained very juicy and soft. I had to admit that this was the best tasting burger I had in years. Loaded the accompanied fries with hot sauce, and this was one fantastic meal. There were also loads of alcoholic beverages offered though I settled for a cola. Pricing was very reasonable for such a good meal.If you are ever close to this area, make sure you drop by and enjoy the burgers. I shall definitely make this place a must visit when I come by this area again.Happy Eating !!!!

Wings, mussels, pasta, zucchini etc.. FOOD IS DELICIOUS. The guy with the glasses that cooks is the best. I come here for the food mainly but the drinks are good too. But the food is bomb when you want to be fat and not watch your carbs. The salads are good lol

The Flying Rib has always been an afterthought for me, however I found myself there on a Sunday afternoon with a friend because we wanted cheap drinks and cheap food. Sundays are for ribs-buck a bone ribs. I ordered half a slab, but I should've just ordered a 1/4 of a slab because they counted the tiny two end pieces as 2 bones. It was ok though, because it only cost me $6 total. The ribs were fall apart tender and meaty with a nice sauce. I'd order them again. I also got fries which were well seasoned with salt and pepper and some coleslaw. 22 oz. domestic beers were only $2. If you have a taste for ribs, stop by The Flying Rib-awesome name by the way =)

I had a great experience here, the value here can't be beat. I wanted to play some ping pong so I asked about their beer pricing. "Everything is below $3." I was half expecting the beers to come back on the bill as $3.25 or something like that but either way, I was fine. I first asked for the Platform draft which the bartender told me she thought it had possibly gone bad. Uhhh, that's weird, but I guess if it did, thanks for the warning. I ordered Sam Adams Cold Snap which was really good and it actually was under $3 - $2.75 for a 20oz, not a pint. And she made sure it was full to the brim. They held my ID and credit card as collateral for the paddles and ball (the paddles look pretty beat up but work fine). The pool table is right by the window, and in the same room are two small pool tables and two cornhole boards. In the backroom there's darts as well. The ping pong table is much better than the paddle, a very good table actually, and there's just barely enough room to play. Why are there no coat/purse hangers anywhere? But you can just grab a stool anywhere in the bar area and place your stuff on it. We played some decently intense ping pong. Quite a few times the ball flew over by the pool tables or cornhole and the other clients were nice about it and grabbed it for us.The pool tables are small but they're in good condition and well lit. $1 per game, quarters, and there's a newish looking change machine right there. The sticks are just randomly around the bar, no idea why they don't have a stick rack. Iggy's tables are better, but unless you're drinking Miller, the beer at Iggy's is way more expensive, probably due to the lack of food.Overall, you can get the two drink minimum for two people (to play ping pong), 80 oz of craft beer (a typical 6 pack is 72 oz for comparison), for $11 + tax and tip. Add $2-3 for a few games of pool and since ping pong/darts/corn hole doesn't cost any extra, you can be out the door for $16-17 for hours of fun for two. It's a great neighborhood spot. I teetered between four and five, but went with five in the end because I feel this place is a bit underrated here.

This is a picture of the bite mark taken from my to go sandwich by someone from the kitchen staff on 2-21-25Thankfully $8 is nothing to me...it's likely a few hours pay for this bum...stay broke you damn loser!!!To be clear: I had no conflict, conversation, interaction or anything with anyone from the kitchen. I had a couple drinks ordered my food and left. The to go bag never left my sight after the bartender gave it to me.Also, I had thrown it in the garbage initially...I pulled it from the trash to take a picture and post this review.
