This is a classic auditorium, like a small arena, in a lovely old building.Total capacity is 10,000, and our recent convention with over 5500 attendees felt perfectly right-sized in there. The sound is good, as are the sightlines to the stage at one end.The floor seats were wider and more comfortable than a lot of the auditoriums we visit, a good thing since we sat for about 35 hours over the course of the week we were there for the Barbershop Harmony Society international convention. The non-visible spaces are older but well-maintained. Restrooms are cleaned regularly and have adequate facilities for those who require handicapped accommodations. There was also a separate handicapped entrance that made coming in and out in a mobility scooter very easy every day.The location is excellent -- adjacent to the Westin and the convention center, and a block from the Hilton. We spent the full week never leaving this bubble, and found everything we needed there.

A very unique and historic venue, truly an asset to downtown Cleveland. We're looking forward to watching the Cleveland Charge play their home games here, this season! They have added me concession stands with different food options than the Wolstein Center, looking forward to that.

I was fortunate enough to attend the Forbes 30 under 30 Summit at The Cleveland Public Auditorium. The event itself was amazing. The venue was nostalgic. It was easily accessible from the parking garage across the street and situated in a good location to explore downtown. The auditorium did not have all the bells and whistles of newer venues, but that added to the charm. It did seem to be the perfect venue for this event. I enjoyed exploring and seeing the ornate decor. One evening I sat in the balcony and there did not appear to be a bad seat in the place. If you have the opportunity to see this venue do so, even if it is just one time.

I went to the Cleveland public auditorium for a three day business conference. I'm not sure this was the best location for a conference. The auditorium is oval-shaped with seats on the second floor and an open space on the first floor with a stage. The conference used the stage for the event and sat us in folding chairs on the first floor but not everyone had a view of the speakers/stage. The auditorium had wooden floors that reminded me on my gymnasium in elementary school. Very old and scuffed up. The building is very old and needs updated. Not the best place to hold a conference in my opinion.

Recently had the opportunity to visit the CPA. I hadn't been in this auditorium since I was a child. It still has it's beautiful historical Cleveland ambiance. I recently attended the Forbes Event. It was starting to get cold and they probably could have turned the heat on because even with plenty of people it was quite chilly. As a Cleveland native I wish they would hold more events there. Plenty of parking around this auditorium. Prime real estate in the heart of Cleveland.

The Cleveland Public Auditorium & Music Hall hosted the 1924 & 1936 Republican Republican National Conventions. Every other year the Rock & Roll induction ceremonies are held in the 10,000 seat auditorium. But what caught our attention was the plaques on the ground of those inducted into Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

The Cleveland Public Auditorium is an old-school building located in downtown Cleveland - right next door to the Convention Center. The building is very old. Architecturally, they don't build 'em like this anymore! The other reviewers have a point - I agree the venue would benefit with some maintenance and repair. Even so - it's still an incredibly cool facility, steeped in lore and history! We spent an entire day in the venue for a business event. It's obvious that the main floor - used to be a sports facility - the way it is laid out - it looks like basketball games were played here.Downstairs, there are a number of meeting rooms. Electrical outlets are few and far between.I like to imagine that an old place like this has some secret passages...#ClevelandPublicAuditorium

If you ever plan on attending the Nutcracker Ballet at the Cleveland Auditorium, do not waste your time and money. Although you will witness the ballet dancers provide you a breath taking performance, your experience will be destroyed and tarnished by the disrespectful audience members and the unprofessional ushers who clearly do not know how to read the aisle numbers and lead patrons to the wrong seats. Before the performance even begins, you will hear the announcer say that all phones need to be put away for the safety of the performers. But, this rule is heavily ignored as you will see dozens of disrespectful audience members whip out their phones within the first 15 seconds to snap photos and become the main distraction through out the 2 hour performance. And if you expect the ushers to tell these audience members to put their phones away, then you are deeply mistaken. The ushers will not do their job and will tell you "They're not recording they are only taking photos" which contradicts the rule which strictly states "no flashing lights, photos, or recording." Not only that, you will see audience members coming in late, talking loudly and causing a very obnoxious performance this pulls your attention away from the ballet. This is extremely disrespectful as a whole, not only to the audience but to the Ballet Performers. I find it quite ironic that the ushers are not afraid to say no food in the auditorium but fail to discipline the photo taking hooligans. Witnessing this, shows that these ushers are only there for a paycheck and refuse to practice what they are trained to do. The management needs to do better and drill into the ushers head that this type of behavior is unacceptable.
