Attended a wedding ceremony and reception here. The facilities are fine and the rooms are spacious to accommodate large functions. The staff did a great job to meet the guests' needs. Open bar = epic win

I had two parties in 2019 for my parents. They both turned 50!! Iris was so nice and she really made it affordable. She is very professional and friendly and the space (Renaissance) was so beautiful! I plan on having many parties in the future and ill be sure to contact Iris when I do! You can really transform the space guys.

I hosted a small event at the Civic Conference and Events Center a few months ago and was quite underwhelmed by the experience. The director of the Event center was very responsive in regards to inquiries before the event but did not deliver on verbal promises. Though it may be tempting to opt for their catering services due to a waiver in room fee I would strongly advise against it! Wait staff can be provided at an additional cost but from my experience were not a needed expense and extensively under-performed. Personally purchased items went missing during the event and there was an overall lack of care displayed by both the caterer as well as the wait staff purchased. Servers did not follow serving instructions and were rude and aloof upon redirection. The catering service became a tremendous and unnecessary stressor throughout the event, serving food late and outside of designated serving parameters. The staff was unapproachable and gave the personable impression of a begrudged favor rather than a paid service. I would have loved to give a review as it relates to the food, unfortunately I was unable to partake in the dinner selection due to the poor management of wait staff. Last but not least, when dealing with the director please be sure to receive any and all adjustments of the contract in writing if you plan to see them come to fruition as the staff tends to make impulse promises that are soon forgotten once payment has been received. All and all I must say that the event center itself is a beautiful building full of character and charm, I just wish I could say the same for its staff.
