Great food! Service! Cottage pie this time of year...can't go wrong. It's our go to place when meeting up with friend from Ashland.

We were in town for an audition at Oberlin. Very hungry after a long morning and found the Bulldog on yelp. Glad we did both left stuffed. Excellent fish and chips and great burger. Also this must have some legit connections to UK as they had Smithwicks, and Guiness on tap. Also some good local beers on tap. I would come again for sure. The sausage rolls are also good but they needed a little more time heating up and would have been perfect. I think the waitress rushed them because we waited a bit to be served. It's not Houston so rolling with the pace of Lagrange just as we would if in Lagrange TX - ;)

Went to Bulldog on a spur of the moment decision. Glad we did. The dining room was full because there was a singer singing songs. We ate at the bar. The bartender was a bit frazzled but once she calmed down we got decent service. I had a couple Smithwicks Irish Ale (pronounced Smiddicks) and the Bubble and Squeak and my wife had a burger. Mine was good hers was an average burger. Looks like a lot of good things on the menu and I will come back and try some more. The ambiance is ok, it's a bar with Keno and sports. My kind of place. Check it out.

The food was wonderful and it was quickly brought out. They close at 10 pm and we arrived at 9pm and was able to place an order for a late dinner. The kitchen closes at 9:30pm. The ambiance was of British photos and items from a father and daughter who run the place. They moved from the UK and set up a nice pub in Lagrange Ohio.

Very cool place. Has an old school vibe. Good drinks and delicious food with a very friendly staff.

I met our friends here at their favorite neighborhood bar and restaurant....and I see why it's their favorite! First, the menu had me at Scotch Eggs. Second, they have smoked wings, which I'm also a huge fan of. But honestly, their whole menu was appealing to me. We sat at the bar and we had some drinks before our food arrived. They have pull tabs/cardboard crack, so my boyfriend was happy with that. The bartender was friendly and there was a few other people sitting at the bar, along with a few people at tables, last Wednesday night. It was raining outside and I could see why the restaurant wasn't too busy. My boyfriend and I decided to share a burger and share the Scotch Eggs. The bartender gave us some smaller plates to share our food with- the plates were vintage and reminded me of a tea room. Cute touch. The Scotch Eggs...probably some of the best I've had! So delicious! I was in Heaven. The burger was really good too and the bartender took extra precaution when I told her I had a dairy allergy....the cook came out and talked to me to ensure nothing I had was cross contaminated. Excellent service in that regard! Oh, and the onion rings...excellent! I will definitely come back! And definitely for the Scotch Eggs again. Need to try the wings next time.

Daughter and I had the fish and chips. Early afternoon so wasn't busy. Owner seated us and took our order. The fish definitely reminded me of my mom's English batter recipe and of the time I enjoyed it in England. The meals were served in faux London Times newspaper. Owner was very friendly and we had a good conversation about our relatives across the pond. Will definitely return.

Found this place on way back to Columbus. What a hidden gem! The menu had so many delicious options to choose from. Great beer and cocktail options too! The food was great and the service was excellent!!! I highly recommend The Bulldog!

The food was very good and the service was excellent. We had the pretzel stick appetizer which was nice and warm with two good dips. Our entrees were the cottage pie and the bangers and mash which were both quite tasty with generous portions. Our waitress was Deeonna and she was so nice and friendly which added up to the 5 star rating. Even though it is a little drive for us we will definitely be back.

Food was plentiful and good Come on a Saturday night for karaoke or music trivia. It is not a fancy place but it's fun
