We stopped in this weekend and I had to get the lobster bisque, which they are known for. It didn't disappoint. It has lobster meat in it and the service was great! The view was excellent too!

The servers are amazing here. We had Blake, he was super knowledgeable with where to visit on the island. The food here is a must try! There is enough vegan options to be filling for lunch. You can modify the salads and the black bean burger is vegan! Make sure to sit outside or by a window to get a great view of the lake.

We heard that the lobster bisque at The Boardwalk was the best thing to eat on Put-in-Bay so we had to check it out. We were kind of confused when we initially got there, since it seemed like there was a bunch of different restaurants in the building. Only the upper deck, which is the full service sit down area, was open, so we headed up the stairs. We only learned later that the main deck, which was closed, was a more informal fast-casual restaurant. Apparently both areas serve mostly the same food at the same prices. Since it was pretty late in the season, the restaurant was pretty empty. We got seated quickly and ordered two of their famous dishes:Lobster Bisque in Bread Bowl ($18) - I wish I could say I loved this. The bread bowl was clearly commercially purchased, which is fine, but they didn't toast or warm it up at all. It didn't help that the bisque inside was also lukewarm. I was expecting the bisque to be hot at least. This led to a slightly unappealing congealed cream texture. As for the bisque itself, there were a decent number of lobster shreds with the appropriate flavor (and some shell pieces in the soup too...), but the rest of the bisque was lacking flavor. It had a distinct lack of aromatics or spices. Other than the lobster, the rest basically just tasted like cream. I had to add some black pepper to help it out. Honestly it was a little disappointing. I also wish they had carved out more of the bread since there wasn't a lot of soup inside.Lobster poutine ($25.75) - The fries were crisp, but again the whole dish was lukewarm in temperature. Very odd. The fries seemed to be commercial frozen fries which were seasoned rather unevenly. This made some bites super salty, taking away from the dish. It already had enough going on with the cheese curds and bisque on top. I liked the construction of the dish: they alternated layering fries, bisque, and cheese curds, and then repeated the layers. That allowed the bisque to more evenly distribute throughout the dish and thus managed to not leave any unadorned fries at the bottom. Unfortunately, the curds weren't fresh (not unexpected), and a good portion of them were not melted given how lukewarm the bisque was. There were some chives sprinkled on top as garnish. Note: this dish is very big. We thought it would be half as large as it actually was. As a side note, their brand of "hot" sauce was not spicy at all. The ingredients only listed red bell pepper, which has zero spiciness in it. The only spice seemed to come from black pepper. Add it if you want sweet and sour notes in your food. Also, they serve their drinks in disposable plastic cups. Very cheap and jarring for a sit down, more upscale venue.I personally wouldn't go to the Boardwalk again, but I guess it was nice to try.

The place has great views of the lake and the New England lobster roll was nice. It just felt rushed and a bit too touristy for our liking.

We come here when visiting friends In the area. Good for a group dinner meeting. Super casual elevated diner food. The Perch is a good choice along with lobster roll and the salads are good. Good atmosphere for families

Food was good, not much chicken on the menu. Servers kinda tricked us, we ordered a pitcher and were surprised by how much it costs. (66.50) definitely our mistake, but wished menu had price listed. Fish and burgers were excellent. The view was great, plenty to look at.

I got off the boat and headed straight to the Boardwalk. I love the lower deck, it's so much better, and at a fair price. I got the lobster bisque in the sourdough bread bowl first, it wasn't as good as I remembered, but still the best bisque I've ever had. The ambience is awesome. I love sitting next to the water watching the boats come in. Can not beat sitting by the water. The staff is very friendly and offer suggestions. Before I left I had to get one more time. This time I just got the bowl, wow the best. It was a better price and it just was amazing. It may have been the it was a little chilly out that made it better. No it's just the best lobster bisque ever. Great job.

Best spot on the island for food and views. Be sure to get the lobster roll and your choice of burger. Flavors on these are amazing, especially the Cajun Remoulade. We loved dipping our fries in this sauce too, so ask for a side of it!

Our service was decent, the views from the restaurant were beautiful, and the food was delicious! The lobster bisque was probably the best I have ever had in my life - so thick and creamy with so many lobster chunks! The fried shrimp basket was good, I wish I would have gotten something else though. Some of the other items on the menu were just too pricey - but I would have definitely tried them. Definitely would return for the lobster bisque!

The lobster bisque I had the pleasure of eating this past weekend was absolutely and unequivocally the best lobster bisque I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. This is coming from an avid lobster bisque enthusiast. If you ever have the chance to stop by the Boardwalk make sure you get your hands on some!
