What do you want from an Irish Pub? Adequate food, adequate service in a Pub environment. Food seems secondary. The place gets hopping on weekends and holidays. Some foods sound great but don't deliver. Reuben Egg rolls, not crispy and the potato filling makes them just seem bland and mushy. Fish and chips are adequate if a little soft, served with a 2oz serving of coleslaw that was probably the tastiest part of the plate. See

Really enjoyed this place before a show at the Huntington Center. Great waitress with recommendations that actually were good. Had a Reuben and fish and chips and some fried pickles. Inside decor wasn't overly Irish but enough to call it an Irish pub. Will definitely visit when going to a Mid Hens game or at the next HC event.

I guess there's a reason I don't go here often. The food is hit or miss. Unfortunately, today was a miss. Ordered the Reuben egg rolls which were just ok. They were kinda of mushy just like the fish, my first bite I did find several large bones, so be careful. The service was average. No one working seemed too excited to be there and we ended up having to move to the bar after sitting for awhile at a table with no service. I'm in no rush to go back when there are several really excellent restaurants within walking distance. It did seem pretty clean and tidy for being mostly a bar on the weekend. Management might need to consider some kind of dress code for employees. It appears you can wear whatever you want and some of the choices are pretty inappropriate.

Ed BeczynskiMy family and I were planning a special event to Honor my father's induction into The Toledo Hockey Hall Fame on Saturday, Jan 26th. Blarneys Pub was recommended so I called in October and spoke to Bill Kline and explained our situation, and even though you don't usually take reservations on Saturdays, especially during Walleye games Bill said he would " be honored to". Apparently the night before arrival there was a gas leak in the building and Bill took the time to notify me promising to keep me apprised and followed up personally calling me two times with messages going from it looks promising to the eventual green light.The food was great, our server was a champ, and the ambiance was first-rate as all sixteen of us enjoyed a most memorable night in Downtown Toledo thanks to Bill, his staff, and Blarney's dedication to hiring obviously the BEST PEOPLE. My Dad, Barney would have loved being there.The O'Connell Family will be back!Thank you, Bill Kline!

Wow! Have been here before, but it was amazing to see them cater to the Jeep Fest crowd. When most food/bar spots downtown waited until the Jeep Parade was over...not The Blarney. They served us as if they just wanted us to enjoy the event! Our waitress was Cassandra. What a special person. She also wanted to make sure we enjoyed the event and the food and drinks from The Blarney.We had corned beef sandwich, black and blue burger, and a meatloaf sandwich. Plus the cannoli (I know note exactly Irish)! All excellent and drinks were reasonable too. If you haven't been. Try it. Thanks Cassandra! And thanks to the owners and management of The Blarney!
