I visited this establishment with my girlfriend on 10/28/24 at roughly 5:30pm. There were only two other tables seated at the time. There was one server on staff at the time but for some reason the bartender needed to be ours. The wait times for the food was a bit longer than it should have been considering the low attendance that night, and the server/bartender was pretty slow to check on us with any regularity. Unfortunately the food was pretty lackluster, the French onion soup and the ribeye steaks that were ordered were very bland. There seemed to be potential with the food, but it just wasn't in evidence last night... The staff was friendly, however for the prices charged I cannot recommend this location to a steak enthusiast.Sidenote.... The restaurant did not have appropriate to-go containers as we had to transport leftover French Onion soup in a drink cup with lid.

We came towards the end of the night, when it was slower, so the food was delivered quickly and our server was friendly. My friend and I ordered two things. We split the Yum Yum sirloin steak with bacon Mac and cheese, and the flat iron steak, B.I.G. style (Cabernet garlic sauce with mushrooms) and au gratin potatoes. The first meal, was delicious and not too expensive. Both of the steaks were cooked perfectly and they had nice flavor. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the B.I.G. Sauce on my steak, so I scraped it off. Thankfully our server offered for them to sear it again to remove the flavor of the sauce. Otherwise, they have a large selection of food to choose from, and a nice patio area.

For a restaurant that wants to charge $30 to $50 per person there is an expectation that the restaurant would not be run down and the food would be prepared well with a certain attention to detail. They failed on all accounts.I ordered a 28 day aged bone in ribeye. I got a basic walmart ribeye (not bone in and likely not dry aged) with a cafeteria salad. I sent it back untouched. My son ordered a shrimp and pasta dish. They left the shells on the end of the shrimps. My daughter ordered ribs. They left the silver skin on.The place is rundown with beat up furniture and poor choices for decorations. Definitely not a place to ever bring a date.The takeaway is simple. The place is rundown, the service is barely passable, and the food sucks.Update: Don't trust Facebook Reviews for this restaurant. The owners block people who give them poor reviews to hide the comments.

4 stars = will come back. Ribeye was cooked perfect medium rare with nice seasoning. My wife had the tacos and thought they were a little spicy but a side of sour cream fixed that. My wife had the wedge salad, her favorite, and thought this one was excellent. Highly recommend Sat at the bar and service was great. Jackie was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and even some of the prep. Interior is rustic, lots of natural wood style and comfortable. Very casual place.

Where to start? so many problems... It's Friday night a bit after regular dinner time, and the empty dining room should have been a huge red flag. The menu is pricey, 18$ for a fish sandwich, $3.85 for an iced tea. The atmosphere and music is dated. The food took forever to come out,.. with an empty dining room. The steak sandwich i got was mostly gristle. (No exaggeration). The server was Just okay but, I don't expect a lot anymore especially after covid. There's better minutes away. Skip this place. i wish i had.

Hidden behind other buildings on SR 43 is a discovery that we hadn't visited but when we smelled the aroma in the air we decided to investigate and found a very nicely decorated and delightful restaurant with a great bar and some amazing food with service to match! We started with Fried Calamari, which were only very lightly breaded, as we prefer, that was delightfully tender, a savory start to a great meal. Then on to a crock of French Onion Soup, it did not disappoint. Lastly, I enjoyed the 18 oz T-Bone cooked to a perfect medium rare while my wife enjoyed her favorite, the famously tender Filet Mignon, cooked to perfection and made her smile!!!I'm sure the deserts would have been just as fabulous and the food, service, and atmosphere but there was simply no way to enjoy more food during this first, but surely not last, visit. Whoever owns this treasure of a restaurant, please keep up the great work in your hideaway treasure, and pass on our compliments to the Chef and Staff on duty during our visit just after 5 PM on Thursday June 16, 2022!!! You are under-rated and I don't know why!

First visit here was because we couldn't get into a different restaurant. Note this is more of a late night place so the good news is if you come earlier, you will get a table! We arrived at noon today. Nicely stocked bar. Quiet, clean. Nice atmosphere. Ordered the rustic chops and the cranberry chicken. Bread looks and tastes amazing - soft and fresh. Salad - beautiful and delicious. Main courses and sides - all delicious! Nice crunch to the green beans. Great balance of flavors to the chicken and chops. We will definitely be back. Look up the history. Love that this is locally owned, not a chain.

We had the 10 oz sirloin ordered just a hair past medium but not well done. They nailed it perfectly! Had white French dressing on the salad & a baked potato with butter & sour cream. The white French dressing is the best I've ever had. Everything was done just right. The ambience is more like an old breakfast home style restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. Not cheap but good food.

The food was basically flavorless, i had to put so much salt and pepper on just to make it taste somewhat good. also the salt shaker was rock solid like it hadn't been used in a long long time. the interior decor is nothing like how the place looks on the outside, inside it is somewhere your grandparents would go in the 70's for a family meal. the leftovers were okay enough eventually to bring home and eat later, but im not going to go back. i will say though, they were conscious of allergies since im gluten free, they checked with the chef and had marked menu items. i didn't have a reaction after ea

I've been here about 5 times, food is sometimes hit and miss, can't complain about the service. They need to do something about the musty smell. I recommend sitting outside only.
