The Bistro of Oakwood

We arrived at 4:30 pm at the Bistro to ensure we did not have to wait. Our server checked in with us 1 minute later (great service). She took our order and came back oil and bread which is always good. We ordered white French dressing with our salads and it is also good. The entree was Scrod which is oven baked and potato encrusted and served with a lemon type sauce. It was excellent and came with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were warm, not hot but acceptable. Again, the service was excellent and we will be back again.

Excellent selections.Very efficient waitstaff. Prices are a bit steep, but bearable for the most part. Will try again on a special occasion. My wife really liked this place.

M- The atmosphere was attractive and the service matched the experience. Attention to food preparation was done. The potions are small in comparison to the price. However what we got was tasty. What restaurant does not offer a baked potato at dinner? It's definitely a reach between formal dinning and a burger at the bar. It's difficult to follow the various streams of revenue and stay true to your concept. But who needs another sports bar anyway.

This was great! It was our 2nd time there and it totally redeemed the 1st. A few years back we left thinking it was just okay. But we were blown away this time. Most unique and best gnocchi I've ever had! Wife got the short rib sandwich and it was great as well! Staff was friendly and helpful. Vibe was enjoyable. Only thing that could have been better was the bread. It was hard and most likely stale. Fix that and its hands down 5 stars.

I highly recommend the Bistro of Oakwood! Primarily for the service and then the food. First I want to compliment the person that took my reservation! He was very professional on the phone. The scallops and risotto was amazing as was the crab dip and tempura shrimp appetizer. The chicken parmesano was hand breaded and delicious. Definitely will go back! Great little gem in the Oakwood plaza.

We had reservations, walked in table was ready. Service was fantastic! The food was great. I had the almond chicken it was wonderful. My husband had mahi-mahi said it was really good. When in town we will eat here again.

Excellent service. Very, very good menu and wine list. Duck breast is excellent as well as the scrod with beurre blanc. Great options for side dishes. Asparagus is excellent and cooked perfectly. Salads are fresh and crispy. Good dressing choices. Mussel appetizer very tasty and well flavored! Make a reservation to ensure you get to try their excellent food. Parking right out front.

Disappointing meal. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I went there Wednesday with a friend. Service was great despite the fact that they were very busy. Fried green tomatoes are my favorite and they did not disappoint. However I ordered the chili lime chicken. I don't recommend it! It was dry, tough and somewhat tasteless. Even my friend commented on how I worked to cut it.

This place is amazing. Wonderful service and the food was delicious. Had a quiet room for our large party. Very beautiful!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, convenient location. Open on Sundays in Oakwood Square.
