The Bistro of Green

My wife and I recently visited The Bistro of Green for date night. Here's a quick rundown:Ambiance:Lovely atmosphere, perfect for a date night. The staff were friendly and attentive.Food: * Appetizer: Fried polenta was tasty but lacked flavor; needed extra salt. * Salad: Disappointing with shredded carrots and a single tomato slice. The "homemade" dressing resembled store-bought. * Entrée: Steak was fantastic--no changes needed. * Sides: Mixed vegetables were overcooked and oily. Mac & cheese was outstanding.Drinks:Well-made and complemented our meal nicely.Price:A little over $120 for two people, including drinks. Expected more attention to detail for the price.Overall:Despite minor details that appeared lacking, the food was tasty, and we had a pleasant experience. I'd recommend the steak and mac & cheese, but be prepared for some minor tweaks on other dishes.Would I return? Maybe, but I'll be more conscious of the quality relative to the price.

The Bistro is around 20 minutes from our house, and we've never visited until last night. Similar to the Bistro on Main in Kent. Great food and wine. Great ambiance too. Left quite content. We had the:*Stuffed mushrooms *Mahi Mahi ( just a tad over cooked but delicious)*Parmesan crusted chicken (great portion and very good).*Peanut butter butter pie (light and delicious)*Malbec (Cigar Box) / and a sweet MuscatoDefinitely a return trip is warranted.

We stopped in yesterday for dinner. The food was amazing! I forgot to make pictures, but all looked great and tasted delicious! The service was excellent!!! Highly recommend this place!

This little gem was a great find! We were looking for a steak and it did not disappoint. It exceeded my expectations from the moment we sat down to the servers to even the clean restrooms.

Food is amazing!! I can't focus on just one item because every Entree I tried was cooked to perfection!

This place us a little hidden gem in the end of a little plaza..Upscale food in a relaxed atmosphere...Every meal is a 5+ stars...

4 of us had the pleasure having dinner at the bar. Amy and Christie provided great service and it was a quaint bar area. Dinner was good. The scrod and salmon were good selection. Mac and cheese side dish is a must. Flat bread pizza was so so. Sausage and peppers side was good.

Always great service with quality food and daily specials It's a good place for an evening meal

Portions on EVERYTHING were very small, from the stale dipping bread, to the salads, to the very small baked potatoes, to the steaks. All of the steaks are marked, " market price". Had we known a 3/8 to 1/2" thick ribeye, with gristle, would cost $50, we would've chosen something else. Definitely overpriced. We will NOT be revisiting!!
