The Barracks Tavern

A great dive bar that's not a dive! Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you - inside you'll find a huge well lit, well-maintained and updated space, which is also free from smoke. You won't find any special local or craft beers here but you will find great deals on all the regular American beers that you'd expect to find on tap at a bar like this. The menu is pretty standard but they do a great job with the food. I always find a soup to enjoy, not to mention the mountains of fresh cut fries that come with the sandwiches. The outdoor area lets you enjoy some space during the warmer months and inside there is pool, darts, and karaoke on certain days. A great place to catch up with friends or even take the family. Service is always friendly and efficient and the prices cannot be beat across the board for drinks or food. Great neighborhood staple!

We stopped here for lunch on our way through Ohio to Columbus based on other yelp reviews. Very clean, food was quite good. Fast service. At first I was concerned that they may have only the bud, coors, miller type of beer selections but they had some good ipas including goose island one one from west coast. The pierogies were delicious and had about 12 toppings to choose from including jalapeños, banana peppers and green peppers. Garden salad was pretty standard but very fresh. Didn't care for the bottled goopy Italian dressing but no biggie. The sandwiches looked fantastic and fries looked amazing!

Food was great but what was even better was the service. Bartender was super friendly and the cook even came out to say hello. You won't be disappointed if you find yourself at the barracks!

The wife and I were so happy to have the Barracks back open. Miss the fish dinners, looking forward to the special again. The place looks great. Staff was very eager to serve. Sat at the bar, enjoyed some wings. They will give the Avonia Tavern some good competition. Never realized the fun recipes you can do with the wings. Pretty damn good. We enjoyed a couple of games of darts frosty large beers. Wishing the owners and staff the best of luck. See Yinz again soon

Great food! We've not been here since remodel. Came for a charity motorcycle ride years ago. Pierogis are really good! Lots of toppings you can add. Popper Burger was very good! I ate my poppers on the side. All was done well. Bun was a little over toasted (a little black). I'm told the Reubens were really good! Thousand island dressing must be handmade, like their ranch. Very good flavor. I highly recommend, very relaxed place to eat.

Great food and service. Live bands Friday nights, that can get loud. But that's expected when live music is playing. Seating at the bar is also good

Ate my food so fast I forgot a picture! From the outside you're not very sure but once you walk thru the doors it's marvelous! Remodeled and very clean. The waitress we had was a joy and the grilled chicken sandwich and stuffed pepper soup was delicious! Highly recommend for travelers& Levenshtein locals if they are curious and haven't been! Thanks for a great meal!

The Service is fantastic! The owners are sweet and easily accessible. They have big hearts. The food is delicious and the drinks creative and yummy
