Taste By The Lake

Just needed to grab a cup of Joe while the other vacationers slept. Taste is within perfect walking distance from the condo we were. I was able to order with my dog next to me and walk out with an iced Turtle Latte! (FAV). They also have LOTS of pastries that looked absolutely delicious.

I got a breakfast sandwich and a mocha to go. Food was ok but probably would not come back for seconds. Coffee was too hot to drink- after about 15 minutes it cooled down. Sandwich was a reheated in the microwave egg and cheese on ciabatta covered with dill seed. If you are hungry, this is fine but nothing spectacular this morning.

Located right in downtown, Taste by the Lake serves bakery items, coffee and some lunch items as well. Their pastries are incredible! We had a glazed, cinnamon roll (so good!), creme-filled chocolate and blueberry cream cheese crumble. And to drink, a blended iced espresso. They have a small patio with a few tables and chairs, or you can walk down to the docks and eat on the marina picnic tables. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back.

My new favorite place to get coffee. I got an iced Carmel macchiato and my kids got hot chocolate. Very tasty be not too sweet. I got a sausage quiche, the first quiche I've ever had. Very light and tasty, I will definitely need to come back for another one. My kids got a chocolate cookie and donuts. The employees are super nice and helpful in helping you choke delicious yummies.

Good place with good tasting coffee. Only problem was that the coffee that they give you is WAY too hot. I burned myself on it. I'd stick with iced coffee from this place.

Very friendly owner and good iced mocha! He let us try an iced coffee. He also baked everything and it smelled amazing!

This is a very good bakery. Their desserts and coffee are both great. If you ever get a chance to come to Kellys Island, I highly recommend coming here.
