Tartine Bistro

I had a lovely dinner at Tartine recently. The inside looks cute, but since we were there during that last warm spell, we took advantage of the final patio dinner of the season (for me anyway). PS - patio is pet friendly. The table next to us had a fairly reactive dog that was a bit distracting and maybe not patio ready, but if your dog is not overly cranky, they are welcome.They have very interesting seasonal cocktails, and while the flavor mine was nice, it had salted caramel on the rim, which sounded good in theory, but was actually kind of sticky. I was there on a Wednesday, which is when they do their half off bottles of wine. We picked something delicious, but the more wine schooled members of my party made that selection. We ordered the cheese plate and the stuffed dates for appetizers. Both were generous portions, and nicely paired flavors. I liked the pickled veggies with the cheese. For an entree, I went with the duck. I love duck, and it's not the most common option, so I get it when I can! This was delicious, pink in the middle with an interesting cherry pan sauce, mashed potatoes, and a green veg. We ended with creme brulee, which was a perfect size, and so creamy.

O M F GTHIS PLACE HAS PHENOMENAL BRUNCH!! Dine here immediately!! Food is to die for!! Staff is very sweet, kind & personable. We had an exceptional experience. Cannot wait to return. Atmosphere is charming.

Lovely little patio - the vibes were immaculate. I felt like I was in Paris which is hard to come by in Cleveland. The music on Wednesday evening and half off wine bottles was clutch! Happy to have great weather and service as well. Now, let's get to the food. The bread is fresh and homemade and scrumptious with the most decadent cacio e Pepe style butter I've ever tasted - absolutely divine! Mussels had great flavor and loved the tartine as well - had to try it because it was their namesake of course!! My husband loved the French onion soup and said the flavor got better the more he ate. The fingerling potatoes that came along side the filet were delicious as well. Can't wait to return and try some more wine and different menu options. Thanks for having us!!

This spot is good, don't get me wrong, but... it feels a little overhyped for me? The food is tasty and the place itself is cozy, but in my experience, it's just not quite all it's hyped to be. Last time I was in, the server got my drink order wrong not once but twice, and in general, I just haven't been overly impressed with its evolution (or lack thereof) with the passage of time and more local competition. Still happy to eat here, but given the prices (and the lack of happy hour except at the bar), I'd generally usually go elsewhere.

Back again, this time for brunch. And let me tell you 100% YES! Just like for dinner, they have an entire vegan menu on the back of the regular menu. LOVE this as an option & not an afterthought like most other restaurants. Only the specific brunch cocktails are available, which was fine for me because I wanted a mimosa. They had several different flavors; I got passionfruit. PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO GET THE FRENCH TOAST BITES. YOUR LIFE WILL BE CHANGED FOREVER. These are one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life!I got the build your own crepe, which comes with three toppings and a side. Delish!!! My husband got mushroom bisque and bread. Both were great. The bread came with lavender honey that I was basically eating with a spoon because it was so good.

Our group of four recently dined at Tartine and the experience was as good as the first two times I dined here. The server was very knowledgeable with the menu and provided suggestions to compliment our tastes. Tartine is a small and quaint restaurant and nicely decorated. All the food items we ordered were exceptional and very much French, so you will not be disappointed. Our group decided to order several apps and small plates to give us a wide variety. I was able to taste 10 different menu items which was such a wonderful idea. The menu is good, so selecting one or two items becomes very challenging.

Mmmmmmmmm... truly one of my favorite places. This evening, the occasion was for a meeting: excellent service, perfect patio seating, and delicious cocktails. They have a FABULOUS happy hour with scrumptious food options. For those who enjoy libations, they also have a stellar signature cocktail and a classic cocktail list. Plus, a vast selection of wines and spirits. As an aside, the server remembered me from last year's party and commented on how sweet and fun it was! Definitely a MUST for your to-do list!

We've been going to Tartine for years and have failed to write up a review! We were there for dinner twice in 2 weeks because it was so great! Sitting outside is my favorite- their sidewalk cafe setting in the Old Detroit shopping plaza has great ambiance. And our favorite dishes lately are the shrimp risotto, pork chop, beet salad, gazpacho, and roasted dates. Our kids love it there too- for brunch (those crepes are delicious) or for dinner (they love the mussels).

Fabulous vegetarian and vegan options. Way too many choices for one dinner. Need to go back soon. Drink selection was really good too!

French Bistro? Are you kidding? While "French" was written on a chalkboard at the entrance, it was not reflected in the service or the menu, as I didn't see any familiar French dishes. I ordered a three-topping pizza, and it arrived extremely well done. The cheese looked burnt, but surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as it appeared.When I received the bill, I noticed a "service charge" had been added. Really? Since they included that, I decided not to leave an additional tip; they can take it out of the "service charge." The staff were pleasant, but they didn't seem to know much about serving tables.Jamais plus!
