Tamr Mediterranean Grille

I'm really surprised by the high ratings for this place. I went there based on those reviews. Place an order to go. I ordered lentil soup which was bland, seems like something you would serve in a hospital cafeteria. A small meat-filled pastry, I don't recall the exact name of it. When I say small, I mean tiny with hardly any filling. Not worth the price. I also ordered a greek salad and requested dressing. Didn't get any dressing. I ordered hummus. I expected this to be good. I mean even if they get everything else wrong, this should be a staple at a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant. Nope. It tasted like a cheap store-bought version of hummus. Absolutely disgusting. I have no idea who is leaving these reviews, but I suspect that they've never had good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, because this place is just not it. Especially with these high prices.

Based on the high reviews, we came here for dinner. I ordered the mixed grill platter. It came with soup (lentil or chicken noodle), which is self serve. The platter came with a beef kabab skewer, a shish tawook skewer (chicken), lamb kafta, rice, and garlic sauce. It was a big platter, but I was quite hungry and managed to finish it. The chicken and lamb were a bit dry, but I enjoyed the beef. The garlic sauce went well with the meats. Overall, I was satisfied.

Tamr makes some excellent, authentic Mediterranean food coming from someone who used to live in the region. The hummus is excellent which can be hit-or-miss at many similar spots. Restaurant has a smaller, intimate setting. I ordered takeout the last 2 times I dined there - the food was great, but worth noting that I waited ~15 minutes both times when I showed up at the scheduled pickup time, one of which did not appear to be a busy night. The trade off is that the food was fresh and hot when I got it!

I had takeout through DoorDash from TAMR; I've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time after driving past it on my commute to work and then reading the excellent reviews. My experience exceeded my already high expectations!I ordered the sizzling shawarma platter. Obviously for takeout it won't be sizzling, but the chicken was moist and had clearly been expertly marinated. It was served with a similarly flavorful rice (some nuts and cumin) and homemade pickles. The tahini sauce was pretty good, but the garlic sauce was mindblowingly good (order 2 on the side). The meal comes with a side; I opted for the season salad, which was a simple yet refreshing mix of tomatoes and cucumbers. I also got a small side of spicy hummus for $4.99.The portion of this meal was absolutely massive and fed me for the next 2.5 days. More importantly, everything tasted fantastic and so fresh. Comparing this to other local places like Aladdin's (a chain) and Shawarma Brothers, TAMR blew both of them away. I can't wait to have another meal from here.

Amazing, my wife & I just enjoyed a fantastic dinner! Our server, Hiya, (I'm sure I misspelled it), was the most delightful, kind, and sweetest person you could imagine as a server. A better description would be our culinary dining guide. She made our first experience one for the ages. From her patience with our inability to choose, to her suggestions. My wife had a tabbouleh salad, while I enjoyed a feta salad. Both were fresh as can be. Our dinners were fabulous, Karen's was Shish Tawouk platter, mine the mixed grill. Simply beyond words. The best comment I could give, is that we can't wait to come back when we're in town. I guess we're very fortunate our son lives in Cuyahoga Falls, and it's a 2 mile trip up the road for another great experience with our favorite server/new friend!

Went there recently because of my love for Mediterranean food. Last time I was at Tamr was a few years ago. I feel they have regressed. Food was average. Service and staff were attentive and pleasant. Think the inside of the restaurant for dining in needs to be updated. More people were coming in for takeout. We were the only ones dining in the hour and a half we were there.

Delicious. They have the best hummus and I've enjoyed everything I've put in my mouth from this place.Miss the buffet.

this is a really solid place. If you want good Middle Eastern food this is the place. The staff are very nice. I usually get the mixed kebab platter, which gives you a nice array of what they have. The meat is well cooked well seasoned and quite frankly delicious. unfortunately they give way more rice than they do meat. In other places that I have tried with a similar platter they give typically more meat. It's not a huge deal but would be nice. I don't love the pita bread. It comes in these plastic packages and it feels very stale and dry. That being said, I frequently return here as I know exactly what I'm getting.
